It's basically saying that, after Arsenal have now signed Lacazette for big money (53 million Euros), Sanchez is pushing for a massive wage increase for the last year of his contract, in order to stay at Arsenal.

There's projections/speculations that Arsenal have already offered him a big increase of 275,000 Euros which would bring his weekly wage up to 400,000 Euros (surely this can't be right ??)

Bayern Munich are not prepared to pay out to buy a player who is 29, so this just leaves Manchester City waiting.

Disclaimer; my Spanish isn't the best but I think this is the gist of it. Reading between the lines, it might seem as though Sanchez is using our supposed interest in him to screw Arsenal for as much as he can get; although that's just conjecture on my part.

The question here is would Whinger pay him an extra £13.5m More than he's currently on (140k up to 400 a week) and miss out £50m from us now or cash in?

If it were us in this situation then it could swing either way but Whinger and the board down in N7 are famed penny pinchers....

I suppose if we'd signed Sanchez and he was younger than he is now, this is what we would have had to look forward to when his contact was winding down.

Must admit that, although it's par for the course these days, it still leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

In the event we had signed him when he was younger we wouldn't let it get to this stage if we were intent on keeping him.

According to Chilean media, Alexis Sanchez has decided to stay at Arsenal and will earn 10m€ per year

And Sam Lee says Arsenal are afraid he will push through a move, and won't sign a deal. I saw some tweet yesterday from someone (Sam Lee?) retweeting some other journalist who broke most Alexis stuff saying that those stories out of Chile are not accurate.

Who knows?

Lukaku or Sanchez, I know our manager wants the Arsenal lad, but goals and age would make Vinny's mate better vfm,

if Arsenal really are demanding £80m then i sincerely hope we tell them to fuck off and ask Alexis to come on a free next summer, if he really does want to come

Absolutely. I'd like to see him, but not at that price. Even the mooted £50m grates on me, but any more than that and we should walk away
