He was the one in the Europa cup final against the rags. Looked poor on the ball but was fast as lightening to make up for any mistakes.

They get rid of Fletcher and sign Barry. Fantastic business for them.

Newcastle sign Stoke's Spanish striker Joselu for £5m. He spent last year on loan at Dep La Coruna scoring six goals in twenty four appearances. Hardly prolific.

If this is the calibre of signings for Newcastle, they are in trouble

Who will score plenty this season. Ashley is penny pinching. As I recall, Sky and all the media outlets had the prize for promotion at well over £100m per year. Added into that, they get 50k+ every game so they are hardly short of a bob or two.

Huddersfield have so far been much the busier (time will tell if they are the more successful) and have given themselves a fighting chance. No wonder Fat Waiter is reported to be pissed off at the Newcastle board

Brighton break their transfer record for the third time this window. They have signed Jose Izquierdo, a Colombian winger who scored 15 league goals last season, from Belgian side Club Brugge for a fee in the region of £13.5m. Will be a good buy for Brighton I think

Anybody notice Sky reporting Lukaku fee as £90 million now.

If they're doing that then the original figure of £75 mil was clearly wrong.
