They have raked it in this window already.

They certainly have NB and, by comparison with them, we look to have been very slow in our own dealings.

However, I think the players we need are very specific to our style and I just wonder if the ones Chelsea have taken onboard, would fit into our line up ??

It's easier to get 'good' players when the team demands overall are less stringent.

I don't get your arguments. As far as I'm aware they got three players in so far: Big Willy, Rüdiger, and Bakayoko. That's the same number of players we have signed for our first team (Ederson, Bernardo, and Walker). And our two first signings were swifter than theirs...

I was referring to the amount of money Monaco have received thus far, with the possibility of Mendy and Mbappe and Lemar being sold for close to £180m as well

Ah, get it. MC's post made me think you were talking about Chelsea. Monaco have indeed been raking it in.

Hart signs on loan for a year. A fee of £4.5m has been mooted though we are rumoured to be picking up 50k out of his wage of 175k week. No mention of an obligation to buy

According to the Telegraph, West Ham are paying Hart £2.5m (wages) + a £2m fee to us, which we hand back to Hart as a compensation for lost wages. In other words, West Ham pay all of his wages, but partly through us, as not to break their wage structure.

And according to Brennan there's no obligation or option to buy.

As much as I was one of the first to doubt Hart's ability when he tailed off, how the fuck aren't we getting a few for England's number one that kept out Barcelona just >1 year ago in a market where forest players are going for 15mil ?! He'll end up going for free. He's worth more than bravo fact.

Guardian reporting that the £2m fee is to cover the gap in Hart's wages (money goes to him) so West Ham can maintain their wage structure.

Wojciech Szczesny has signed for Juventus for a fee of £10m from Arsenal. He has spent the last two seasons at Roma and won the Italian golden glove equivalent with 14 clean sheets. Would he have been any worse than Bravo? Time will tell with Ederson as well. But we have spent £50m on goalkeepers over the last two summers, a significant outlay. Bargains these days are hard to find, but they are out there and it's up to Txiki to source them

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Spain striker Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, subject to the player agreeing personal terms and passing a medical (BBC).
