OK, stop fishing now.... Standard procedure when playing Monday night footie

Not the standard fare according to the esteemed Sam Lee of Goal - big news about Pep too ;)

You sure this isn't JUST about Pep? (contact extension, rather obviously)

Of course not, I'm just recycling twitterings of Sam Lee, who has been right more often than wrong in his predictions. Pep extending would be big news, whether welcome or not at the moment on here, but there is a suggestion there will be a major transfer deal.
Hopefully not Evans.

Or some new Cityzens scheme bolllocks

Of course he wasn't. We're after him because Kolarov left and Alves mucked up our FB-cost budget. But you knew that already?

I believe Hazy is asking was Evans our plan B all along.

I don't think he was plan B. More like Plan C.

VVD & Bonucci were clearly plan A & B.

Indeed, Sam Lee does have a good track record and is not one to wind us up. I follow him on Twitter as well, I think it's just that I only noticed him posting this regarding the press embargo relating to what I gather was mentioned at the press conference yesterday:

Sunday night at 22:30 does not sound like a good time to announce anything major.

Fairly sure it's because we are playing Monday night and club following league protocol, cheesy also said in his YT blog, he can't mention stuff until that time (indicating anyone present at the presser had been told whatever it is but aren't allowed to release if before then).

Nasri goes for nothing and Jonny boy likely to cost us £22m+. I've seen them both play and one has quality and the other is called Jonny.

Chris Wood joins Burnley for £15m from Leeds. He joined from Leicester two years previously and scored 44 in 88 games for Leeds. Top scorer in the Championship last season. Could be a good value signing.

Wonder if we should maybe go for someone like that as a back up striker. He clearly knows where the goal is and at that price we don't stand to lose a great deal.

I think players tend to cost what the buyer can afford - it's a seller's market, particularly when it comes to the top, rich clubs like ourselves.

Johnny Evans is a City player, we are waiting WBA to sign a replacement, before both clubs announce it.....

This is certainly what the evidence strongly suggests. My naivety in expecting the overwhelming majority of fans to embrace him once adorned in City blue is set to be horribly exposed. :(

I am not having it, however it is what it is, Pep has possibly started his own ending?

out of curiosity why would signing Johnny Evans for 20-25m as your 4th CB be an indicator of Pep's downfall?

Says who?
If true it is truly a stupid bit of business, never mind a gnaw in peps reputation.

Watch on youtube.com

Any player who liberally uses "I mean" and "you know" hasn't got the intelligence to play the Pep way. But that's not the indicator. The indicator is that Evans is an out and out rag and always will be, maybe not the obnoxious vocal sort, but still a dyed in the wool rag. But we don't expect you to understand what that means to a City supporter.

If this season goes pear shaped, the signing of an ex RAG will be the tool to beat the shit out of Pep mate.

Sam Clucas signs for Swansea from Hull for an undisclosed fee rumoured to be around the £16m mark. Prior to Hull he had played for Mansfield, Hereford and Chesterfield. Hope the Swans arent seeing him as a direct replacement for Sigurdsson

You don't get this 'fan' thing do you ?

I'll keep it simple. It's like accusing a Canadian of being a US Citizen . very embarrasing . No one wants to be one or have them around .

Being a City fan is not about money , it is about being a city fan come rain or shine , win or lose .

you cannot buy into being a city fan , you just do .
