What's in a name ?
Well funny you should ask, because in keeping with your OT 'Ridiculous Misconceptions', I always had john Williams the Aussie classical guitarist and John Williams the American composer down as one and the same person.
Think 'Cavatina' .... i.e The Deer Hunter (Aussie john) and
Then think of every other Spielberg film ever made from Jaws to Close Encounters to E.T. and Indiana Jones etc.George Lucas stuff too Like Star Wars. All of them. (American John).
On top of that I also confused Mason Williams of Classical Gas fame with Aussie John.
There's the Williams Clan for you.
'Williams' .... derived from the Ancient Mesopotamian,Wilma, meaning to fidget ones fingers very quickly on taut string.
