Terrible news. Apparently he's suffered severe, permanent brain damage after his collapse in the Ajax-Werder Bremen game on Saturday.
The lad is only 20

I was watching the game when he collapsed. They were quick enough to attend to him and brought ambulances on the pitch and cordoned off the area with wind breakers so no-one was able to see what was going on as it was obviously distressing. The players were wandering around not knowing what to do.

Such a shame for the lad.

Puts everything into perspective.

I've just read it on the Beeb's site - heart problems leading to brain damage - at 20 years old.

Sad News in a match against my hometeam. Shocking for all who attended..... My brother was there with his Kids, horrible end of a nice day in Austria.
