ya think so? Poch seemed to favor Trippier over Walker in the big matches towards the end of last season, and Trippier did look good.

Why did he favour him?

We will have no gilded mammaries playing in City blue, what has gone before is noted and redemption awaited.

To those worried about his fee, City have briefed the media that the price paid was.£45m with add ons of £5m. I'd imagine one of them add ons is winning the CL so unless you're confident we'll be winning that soon then you can take it that we haven't paid a world record fee for a defender.

There again a lot of us didn't believe the figure City briefed Mangala so I shouldn't really expect this briefing to be believed either.

Because Walker's head wasn't in it and he already wanted the move. It's quite well known.

Exactly and besides Trippier was pretty shit against Arsenal and he was woeful against the rags, Marshy Al made a fool of him.

Anyhoo, Walker deal confirmed as done on the OS.

I suppose some people are just not happy no matter who is or is not brought in.
If we signed Neymar for 20 quid there would be loads moaning!!

Just because a person is not totally convinced by a potential signing doesn't mean they wouldn't be happy "no matter who is or is not brought in".
On that basis, I find your comment to be somewhat fatuous, although apologies if it wasn't meant that way.
I do take JO'S comment on board about the difficulty in sourcing a decent alternative.

Chin up my friend, I know exactly how you and Jo feel :?

For someone who was essentially an actor, I always thought Murray Head was a very decent singer, which isn't always the case.

Sometimes singers (and even footballers for that matter) have delusions of acting adequacy which is shown up, painfully, not to be the case. One David Beckscum springs to mind with regard to this.

Nice video JC. :) :)

Maybe last year. Bellerin would go for £80m+ in this market.

Really? I thought he only got a game when Walker was injured, unless you're thinking Trippier, who I rate btw, must've been saved just for the big games as he played about a quarter of what Walker did.

Poch would definitely not want him to go, that's why they got big money for him. Not quite a world record, but a very big statement nonetheless.

I did like the way certain elements made it into a world record deal, and then went on to splash out saying it was 100 million for a bit of sensationalism. Then, throw in a 5 year tweet which was soon deleted and apologised for, just to keep the truth going that they cannot stand is taking over from their beloved Rads/Dippers/Spud/Arse teams.

I'm fine with this. We are also just stuck with few options and being HG is a massive boost with Clichy gone. Get Bertrand in (get ready for 40m for him) and we can sell Delph.

Did your comment include the words "feeder" and "club"?
