Full backs

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

This is what I was suggesting in the original post. I have no problem spending big but surely some of these youngsters such as Labeautidiere and Duhaney need a chance and be understudy to the big money buys. I hope Adarabioyo also gets a chance.

Looks like they're testing them out as backups.

how much would that cost on the back of shirt? would it even fit?!

It could be shortened to 'LB' and it would be quite appropriate if he was used at left back, although if he was played at centre back, I don't suppose it would confuse the opposition very much, unless it happened to be the Scum, because they're always confused.
I suppose his 'nom de guerre' could also default, Brazilian style, to 'Joel'.

I guess the club shop is relieved Ahogrenashinme Kigbu's first name isn't his last

Anyone know whether the loan contracts for the kids at Girona, or NAC Breda for that matter, include an emergency recall clause? Would make sense and would greatly increase our pool of match-ready youngsters, and not just at FB of course.

Augustinsson, trusting Noolie's nose on that he's a better Swede fisherman than that "rags' bargain" [ ] or Aaron Martin.
despite being right-footed I'd also fancied Andrea Conti, but AC Milan grabbed him, earlier this summer.

Alaba. good call yes, but will German Rags ever be keen on doing us a favour? I bet not. still puzzled on whether Gill or Rummenigge/Hoeness hate us most.

think WW elsewhere clarified a bit here:

Our squad of 18 (i.e. short of the 25 we are allowed) is listed here, as are the Under-21 players (Contract and Scholars), which include our loaned out youngsters.

Too right, best left back there is imo, he's also a very good in midfield , so two birds with one stone.

Can't see it happening though.

I can see this one happening. He is a freebie next summer and has already said he will not sign a new contract. Seems a logical choice for me to grab him in January. The AFCON is moving to a summer tournament so no issues there but he will be cup tied for the UCL. However the league is where it's at and we need cover as Delph is a sicknote, it's only a matter of time before he is back on the treatment table.

Just Googled him, 6ft 2" another monster at left back. Can he play centre back too, 1 of 3 maybe?

I take full responsibility, 5 hours after typing that, he was on the treatment table. Lets hope he just needs a rest and is OK for the next game.

nah, noble gesture but poor reckoning. ;)
If passion for City can work a monster of cynicism like me into leaning supersticious, a good call can hardly be called as cause for jinx.
thankfully we are ahead of a feasable spell.
Zinchencho on the SB bench is good hint of who's next up to the plate, imho.
