How about Mbappe to PSG, Cavani to City?
Seems a good short-term solution to our chance-missing issues
Would he come to be a squad player though. I doubt he will dislodge either Kun or Jesus in a starting berth. Pep has apparently already told Sterling to get used to being part of a squad and not to expect to start every game. It's a really difficult thing to get back up players who are good enough yet are happy to take a back seat role.
Cavani doesn't suit Pep's style of play at all. And he has zero chance of playing with both Serge and G-Sus in front of him.

Everytime I've seen Cavani play, he misses an absolute sitter. I remember seeing a video last year where he wasted something like 8 excellent chances from one single game. I think this place would combust in an inferno if he played for us.

Well he's been dropped again by Monaco so either his head isn't right or they are not risking injury - would him turning up be a perfect antidote to bury the bad news of Evans arriving?

I think the theory is that the reason we're setting our sights as low as Evans is because we have something really big in the offing. If we spend the rest of our budget on Mbappe or Sanchez for that matter then we will only be able to afford Evans.
So if we end up with Mbappe next week maybe we'll all be singing Jonny's praises.
No. Well that's the theory.

I think Pep may need this one to go down to alleviate the resentment about Evans, if we sign him as well.

Interesting video JC, especially with regard to Orbison's guitar, which he used throughout the 60s.
It was the body of a Gretsch - either a 'Country Club' or a 'Chet Atkins 6120' but modified with stereo wiring, which Gretsch called 'Projectosonic'. However, the intrigue doesn't stop there as it had a Gibson neck (with their triangular logo on the headstock), but with the Gibson name removed from the top of the headstock and, to compound matters even further, Orbison had the pickups replaced with those from a 'Sho-bud' steel guitar. The final addition was the Bigsby tremolo unit and, all in all, this was quite a 'pick and mix' instrument..........all this is courtesy of a guy I know who is daft about guitars, daft about Roy Orbison and daft about Roy Orbison's guitars (phew !!).
Thankfully, later in his career he transferred over to a Gibson ES 335.
