if stating facts with no opinion attached to them winds people up then they have a serious issue.
no where did say that United was going to win the league because of Jose's prior record. its simply a fact that i found interesting (i would've found it interesting if Jose was going into his second year at Milan or if it was Conte going into his second year at Liverpool. its just an impressive, interesting fact).

look at Zlatan. he won the league in his fist year at every club he'd been at since Ajax (Ajax '01, Inter '06, Barca '09, Milan '10, PSG '12) except for Juve. that was an interesting fact coming in to his first season at United last year. just because it's United doesnt make it any less interesting--just like the Mourinho stat.

if people want too ignore facts about non-City clubs, players, and/or managers then that's pathetic.

Anyone seriously think Pep will be sacked if we dont win the league this year?

Is that rhetorical?

I voted for the League and League Cup.

Easiest trophy to get is the EFL Cup, done in February and then we can focus on the League and CL, depending on where things stand then.

Could see us in for the FA Cup, but only if we are out of CL earlier than expected. I think Pep will prioritise CL over the FA Cup as I think we have a chance of getting into the Semi Final this year.

Barca are weakened so that opens the window a bit this season, even if they add Dembele or Coutinho. Bayern don't seem quite as good as they were. Juve are also weakened with no Bonucci. PSG may take another season to adapt with Neymar and/or if they get Mbappe.

Be surprised. Unless we completely fuck it up and finish outside top 4. Even then, I'd still be a bit surprised.

I don't think so. As long as we challenge he will stay.

Same. Pundits tend to believe that hes under such huge pressure and has spent alot of money that he'll be sacked if he doesnt win. Nonsense

Thought it might be a good time to revisit this. 4 people thought we'd win nothing. To be fair, they're currently correct.

Strange that more people think we have a better chance of winning the Champions League than beating Arsenal to win the League Cup...scratches head!!

Ayay, Dazzler.
Since you encouraged to get bold, I would add, Rags ending below top4/CL spots, to my balanced assessment for a treble.

Happy days... :D
[ league all I care though]

Predictions were made at the start of the season though.
I'm still on track for PL and one other......Hopefully with a little bit of interest on my investment. Three would be nice. Four? Could we handle Four on here?

Interesting to see now that in August four people thought we would win nothing.

Think You should read 3 actually, She.
One must sure have been MC spelling his Typical City vibes into contemporary Good Omens.
As per evidence throughout weekly predictions league, we must be grateful to the Chessmaster: it has worked fine.

I was one of those who thought we'd not winning anything Dazzer, but I did say I wanted us play some incredible attacking football with the utmost verve and style, so I wasn't completely wrong.

Mind you, it's still early days yet so I'm not counting any chickens.
