I'd have left Jadon Sancho out.

Hoping to see the 91 shirt in the LC, I don't know the lad, but would be the highest number I've seen.

I think Tosin in the heart of the main squad at 24 has to be a significant message of intent.

Why the fuck has Nasri been given Kolarov's shirt? That should have been retired!!! Not given to that coward.

I hate the way we dont or barely dont move youths up in numbers. Iheanacho at 72, garcia at 75 last year. Give them a nice incentive and make them feel included with one less than 30. They did it with tosin but ofdly no one else
Foden who i see making a lot of squads could easily be 16 or 26.
It just annoys me.

Interesting that we don't have a No. 9
Could it be being saved for somebody?

Foden has moved up from 80 hasn't he.
Was sure he was wearing 80 in preseason.

He was.
Duhaney is missing. He was #81 on the US tour. So what does his omission mean?

agreed. if he's actually going to play a part this season (Even though its likely to be sparse) him coming on in 47 or 80 is embarrassing.

Maybe the players choose to keep a certain number?

As embarrassing as Yaya at 42?

Iheanacho said he chose 72, although his reasoning was rather dodgy.

I would have give Foden 6.

I'd wait until he has done something to justify it. I think he will, as it happens. He is already comfortably ahead of Roberts, from the little I have seen of the two of them.
If I were a player, I wouldn't be arsed what number I had. You make the number special yourself by your achievements, the number 21 being a prime example.

Footballers are a little superstitious.
Balotelli had 45 because 4+5=9
Last season Mo Salah wore 74 in Italy. Part of his transfer deal to the dippers included the number 11 shirt which meant Firmino moving to number 9.
Maybe Foden covers the number 11? Even though he isn't a winger.
