That pretty much sums up the media these days. I remember when Andros Townsend was being considered great even though he constantly dribbled into cul-de-sacs.

Looks like Chickpea is still playing for the Rags.

And what's with all the superlatives, they've been distinctly average.

At least Zabba is trying. The rest of west ham has been pretty pitiful. They desperately miss Payet going forward

Yes, he dribbles a lot still.

There's obviously a medical reason for it.

Shame that Joe couldn't stop the rags. This doesn't tell anything about rags level as they weren't tested at all but unfortunately I reckon Lukaku will score shitloads for them this season

Overall a good weekend we win, Chelsea lose and victims drop points

West Ham have been utterly dreadful. Could be a long season for them.

I know it's early but West Ham look absolute dross. The defence is non-existent and their midfield and forwards do not work for the team.

Rags can only beat what was in front of them and I can see West Ham fighting relegation this season.

Oh fuck off RatBoy, LittlePenis has been shit lazy.

So I switch the radio on and promptly United score 2 more goals and Idiot Savage convinced they will win the league.

We knew West ham will unfortunately be in a scrap from pre season. Hart will let shit loads in and probably still not care and think he'll get a move to a bigger club

The contrasting reactions to our game and theirs should go in the bias thread. Going out like united have just best Madrid away in April

They are fucking miles away from us.

It will take even worse officiating than last season for them to come close at all.

And I think we're built to beat them all now to be honest. That's why the media are throwing even more shit at us than normal.

This season is when we start to finally dominate the league.

Never a contest today and as you said after the pre season game against us, WHU will have a very tough season.
Teams will have to be better and plan better against the rags or they will have plenty of walkover games like this. Lose the ball in bad areas and it's what they look and pray for. City will punish in the same way but we actually also have a miles better midfield and look to play football.

Cant wait for a team as bad as West Ham play as open and badly as they did today , we will seriously score double figures against them .

Bilic sacked before xmas? If I had to say yay or nay I'd say he will go.
their defence was so soft they will be in lot of trouble if that continues

So, at week one, the Scum are elevated to being the League Champions in waiting.

It's going to be lovely watching all this end in tears.

Seems to be the end of an era at Barca. Instead of Neymar, they start with Deulofeu, who struggled to get into Everton last year. And they're going to buy Paulinho for 40 milllion euros. Not exactly top quality

It's a fact that the table means nothing until four or five games in.
We all know it, and the media never tire of telling it to us.
Unless of course, the great white hopes, rags or dippers manage three points first game.
Then they're champions elect.
All so boring, and all so predictable.

I wonder if that table would have been created as quick if Huddersfield were on top.
