Nice one WW!

So, question...did we loan Douglas Luiz out, like Moreno, to Spain in part because we can't get a work permit?

If that is the case he wouldn't be able to play for us for 2 years, I believe. But does Brexit cause issues to this strategy? Staying in Spain 2years would only earn them EU permanent residency as far as I understand.

Brandon Barker seems to be joining Hibs. I suggested he could replace Roberts in Celtic, which is probably a level or two too high for him at the moment, but at least he will be playing in green hoops north of the wall. I wasn't too far off, in other words ;-)

North of the wall is no place to be, when winter comes.

City sign Nigerian striker Larry Kayode from Vienna and he is training with Girona whilst the loan is sorted out.

So Roberts being allowed to go to Celtic.

A bit odd that he doesn't want a chance at first team football at a PL side, but I guess he fears any poor dip in form will lead him to be dropped.

At least he'll get some CL experience again. Otherwise, not so sure this is best for his development if he wants to get into our team.

Makes me wonder if he thinks that's never going to happen or maybe if he blows folks away that this will garner more attention.

Seems to me he will have to show off his stuff in CL matches.

Maybe having trained with the first team squad he has come to a conclusion he isn't good enough for us and having enjoyed his spell at Celtic where he won things, that it wouldn't be the worse to go back?

Yeah, I hope he does well. It very well could and if he thinks it's best I'm not going to question him too harshly. Just a bit curious.

Maffeo the only City player to get into the starting lineup for Girona's first game of the season today.

Garcia, Douglas Luiz and Moreno on the bench.
