is Guardiola trying to get sacked?

or if he is not behind this is Txixi trying to get rid off Pep?

Those along with good old money laundering are the only possible reasons behind this move

It's pure madness if we blow that kind of money on Jonny Evans. Really hope it doesn't happen.

Back to Caps Lock one feels - £30m for an average centre back is mental, the fact that Evans is an ex-Rag and a shit one at that just makes me seriously question whether there is anyone within the club who have a f-ing clue about (a) what a decent footballer looks like and (b) how to negotiate without being being shafted everytime - bet they are all shit at poker.

Not so sure it's the centre back thing as the 'leader and centre back'. No Kompany no titles, simple as. I think it's an attempt to address that after so much flak for the likes of Stones, Otamendi and Mangala. Presumably the last will leave but all 3 are lost without a leader next to them.

As for the price - is there a choice?

Rags will be in for this Spanish left back we're supposed to be after before long - mark my words

I don't want hi either but you'd get the impression Arsenal are attempting to fight back by getting stories out about our supposed transfer targets.
Sanchez v Kun and Raheem plus money FFS and now in for Evans.
Methinks the screw is being turned in the background.

RE Sanchez I think it's the pro rag media throwing spanners around they don't want us getting this player full stop as Sanchez will make us so much stronger attacking wise . Note how these same rag outlets portray Ibra and Lukaku as gods ........

RAG thing aside it looks like the first time they are putting some thought into it. And also it seems a good idea to all non-partisan 'punters'.

People would rather lose the league if Kompany is injured? Because that is where we are right now.

It's the sort of thing we'd do - kinda in Carl's camp about my reaction though. (Even though he apparently ticks a box for onfield leadership which we're short of, and can cover leftback if needed)

Leadership? He shat his pants any time he didn't have an experienced CB next to him when he was at Utd. Overall not an upgrade on Otamendi imo.

If we need an England-trained goon to fill a spot, we should be able to do it either cheaper, younger, less injury prone or any combination of those. If we want to spend north of 30m for somebody with leadership qualities who can handle the pressure in our system and is able to pass the ball, better look for foreign talent, because the homegrown turds floating around in the Premier League aren't going to fare any better than what we have currently.
