Post match analysis.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

As the adrenaline fades I can be happy with three points for my birthday and the chance to relax for the rest of the weekend's games, hoping some of our rivals slip up but knowing we won't be worse off than before.

I am worried though that Pep doesn't seem to have any better idea than Manuel of how to make the most of what we have.

PeP - YOUR TACTICS need to change , they are fuckign mundane. Why do we always take forever and a day to take a shot at goal ?
We got lucky today...a mish mash of new players that played like they were signed yesterday.

I think your last paragraph is the key.
Mendy
Danilo
Bernardo
add Jesus too.

Players that haven't played together much as well.

It looks rough and forced st times but there are glimpses like the twenty minutes or so today that look great.

We need to get clinical up front. A goal or two up is so much easier on everyone than going s goal down every game.

One thing we have seen in the last two games is graft. We could have easily dropped 5 points rather than just the two.

I've seen enough to be optimistic that this team WILL have more about them than in previous years.

Get Sanchez in and start getting shots on target from outside the box. It will be an extra dimension for teams to worry about.

Can't walk it into the net with 11 behind the ball.

Not the greatest performance, but between this and Everton last week, our squad knows how to fight back and grind a result

Very important victory

I was quite disappointed with how we were playing - especially in the second period - but watching the first 35 minutes of Crystal Palace vs. Swansea has reminded me of how fucking blessed we actually are.

Once again played a large part of the game without any real intensity, speed of thought movement & passing.

Their keeper only had 1 real save to make.

Pep must play players in their right, comfortable positions. Aside from score Sterling did nowt for 96 mins on the left. When Leroy came on left he did more in 10.

Kick it up a gear Pep.....it's not over 60s walking footie tha noise !!

Danilo is class.

Silva got booted up and down as usual.

People feel sorry for Arter even though he's a cunt of a human.

Nothing has changed with regard to refs cheating.

He arter've been sent off.

If he was exsanguinating, would his Arteries have burst ??

I'm not talking about the result, I'm talking about 19 attempts and 2 goals.

Footballing wise we were really shite in the second half. The last minute winner has masked over how shite we were to some extent.
There is a long way to go but there is a lot of work to be done.
Big plusses today we're Mendy, Danilo and Silva jnr the 3 of them look excellent signings.

Almost among the last words Housman provided in the final appearance of Inspector Morse
