Surely if the size of a fee is "ruining football" then the club to blame are the one demanding that fee?
Barcelona...ruining football, more than a ring if truth about it.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

And paying bribes to players fathers and systematically dodging taxes is completely above board and not ruining football at all...

The European cartel are now getting worried, LA liga will be more worried than anyone seeing as these are government funded, then there's gonna be a shit hitting the fan if solicitors are involved supporting the non cartel clubs

I wonder if La Liga are going to be calling for Barca to be investigated too, or do they not fit the profile of PSG and Man City for 'some reason or other'?
"Barcelona unveil new sponsor Rakuten in £200m, four-year mega-deal"
Barcelona have signed a huge new sponsorship deal with Japanese firm Rakuten worth £200million in a significant show of commercial strength from the Spanish champions.
The four-year agreement, with an option of a one-year extension, which will see the Rakuten logo feature on Barcelona's shirts from next season, enters the Catalan club into a tier of shirt-sponsor revenue matched only by [the swamp dwellers].
The partnership is understood to be worth up to £53m per season, with £5m of that figure dependent on bonuses linked to success on the pitch.
The new figures represent almost double what Barca are earning on their current £29m-per-year Qatar Airways sponsorship.
Slightly different in that they are not a related company, but what it does show is that our Etihad sponsorship is by no means excessive and arguably ready for renewal at a higher level.

It's not really different when you look at their underlying point - they mentioned the money we gain from Abu Dhabi and said we're ruining football because of it - the sponsorship we gain from the Etihad deal is for Academy, stadium and shirt sponsorship AND was a ten year deal - I've highlighted just their shirt sponsor (with their four year deal) and my point is let's see who's ruining football when their stadium and Academy deals are tacked onto the end of it and broken down into a per season figure - because their blatant mud slinging and slander needs to be pointed out for what it is, the bunch of Barca-fed fucling hypocrites.
AND the Etihad deal has already been looked at by UEFA as far as I know - and passed with flying colours - infact it is a positive bargain for them in the current market. So case closed, La Liga, you fucking gimps.

It wasn't all that long ago that Barcelona used to boast that, unlike other Clubs, they didn't have any sponsorship and, therefore, such logos would never sully their holy shirts.
They didn't maintain that principled position for very long however, when they realised the funds that other teams were attracting in this way.

I wouldn't say anything in that article is racist, and the guy in isolation does have a point. Both our money and PSG's money is being spent in huge amounts by the owners themselves, thus inflating the market. Neymar transfer in particular.
However, any claims of 'unfairness' is just outright hypocrisy when football has never been fair since the dawn of time. There is so much disparity in everything from club's location, to timing of success, to Champions League rewards, to amount of fans and revenue etc.
All these whinging cunts can go and fuck themselves.
"Like all bullies, they've just found out that there is a much bigger guy in town, someone who is richer and more powerful than their worst nightmare. And this smiling Arabic assassin is intent on stealing all the treasures they've nicked off everyone else, and pulverising them into commercial and footballing oblivion as he does so."

An excellent read.
It should be made to be mandatory reading for all the La Liga hierarchy.

The politics of this are very interesting.
We know the sheikh helped out real madrid and the city group purchased Girona, but that must be where any relationship ends with the spanish league.
Barca obviously hates us and messi aside, having their former directors and manager at the club must grate them.
There appears to be a battle ahead and barca are shitting it. The spanish FA obviously don't want to see one of their darlings fall back towards mediocrity, as it damages the league brand, so they're throwing their support behind them.
What's Real's stance on this?

I'd imagine they'll kept their traps shut. And given they're champions of Spain and Europe, why wouldn't they?

It's also a bit rich that, of all English Clubs being targeted by La Liga's mouthpieces, it's only City who are being singled out when Chelsea have spent over £200 million this summer and the Scum would have loved to have outspent everyone, were it not for the fact that they've been 'snubbed' so many times in this window.

You're assuming they can read, MC. Given the ignorant mudslinging we've just witnessed from their head guy I have my doubts.

Just sour grapes from La Liga, most probably instigated from someone within Barca. Nothing to be alarmed about as we have nothing to hide
