thought I saw any kind of delusional self embarrassment, in a place run through PMed cliques, but Carl being called a tool, let alone to the pariah of the board, is... breathtaking.
it really hits a new height.

Bloke would make an instant legend, there at RAWK

Well, that was some result.

Media will harp on how the game was in the balance before the red, but I still felt Pep set things up well.

Yes, Salah caused Ottmanedi many problems, but you also saw how we were set up to cope with this (partially due to Salah not being such a great finisher). That one play where Stones as almost a sweeper came over to help, and certainly has not hurt that Ederson has been quite good at anticipating what's happening. NBC announcers commented on that one play saying it appeared we had worked on this (Salah blasting past Nico). We had numbers in the back and did well to counter their own counter.

Pep haters might want to take note.

Can say plenty of how overjoyed I was watching this, even against 10 men, because Liverpool coped extraordinarily poorly, and our play began to remind me of what we saw in preseason.

- KDB immense working his arse off even more so than we already see, looking to take the game by the stranglehold - critics take heed, I mean what a player
- Jesus/Kun partnership developing (I mean Sergo passing to Jesus for that goal made me smile as wide as ever...and you saw how overjoyed Jesus was...this is what they needed!)
- Mendy a freakin beast down the left with crosses Kola might even dream of, but with some kind of crazy Yaya left back-like style, with strength and pace. Oof. I think he might become the best left back in the game, and his personality is beyond mint.
- Stones with a world class performance as a defender, but also dictating play from the back.
- Sane to come off the bench to say "I'm heeeeere!!" Hello...what a bench we have. Bernardo didn't even play!
- Ederson, taking a true one for the team. Incredible bravery. I mean this guy is going to be one of the best, and worth every penny. What a difference from last season.

Like I wrote recently, the season is a marathon and this is a good way to get us back into the right mentality. Pep has some selection headaches that managers dream of. Gundogan and Yaya can't even get a game! No Sterling...our best scorer...no problem. Sane off the bench and Bernardo a no show.

Nico was concerning, but Pep, again set us up well. Danilo wasn't as effective, understandably, but he didn't do much wrong as far as I saw. Fernandinho had his best game this season as well, with that fantastic through ball, and smart defending (of course). I may be less worried about Vinny out than I ever thought I would, and I think it's fair to credit Pep with setting us up in a way that this was a bit less noticeable. Let the season begin...

Agueros offside goal was it offside as no replay shown on sky or motd?

I watched it.
Strikers Union sticking together.
I honestly can't believe the unilateral sympathy for Mane in this. They're trying to make out like the law that says he gets s red for this, is wrong.

Really, when have you heard this defense before for someone flying in with both feet off the ground. Even ones s lot lower not making any contact at all.
This was Kung fu in comparison to some of the cards our players have picked up.
Where was the defense of Kyle Walker.

Yes it was. Just. Had to rewind the play myself as it wasn't replayed. It kind of got forgotten that although we scored five, we had two more disallowed

Oh and NBC match commentor (what's his name?) infuriated me when he acted surprised the fans booed when Milner came on.

Do some basic homework. He was questioning our entire fanbase suggesting "things are different now", about how we used to have a good reputation for applauding ex-players, saying how he was a "good servant to the club."

Sure, Milner was treated this way whilst even being understandably upset he left on a free for a rival club most of us hate and has gotten worse due to Sterling, media treatment, etc....but then we all know what he said about us compared to his current club last season that tipped the fan base against him.

I was fuming when they went on, but reminded me of how clueless many in the media were about why we booed the CL anthem as well, and made dumb deductions based on little information.

fucked me right off.

If he hadn't scored 2 he would probably have got to play 90 minutes.

Why not let the lad try and get a hat-rick,gutted.

I feel like he has killed our momentum a bit with that Sub.

Er, he was playing over in South America midweek and we've got a CL game coming up this week. Understand?
*No......... i dont understand...could you please explain again in a bit more detail, with a bit more passive aggression thrown in for good measure.

I didn't think it was a red in real time. Ederson ducks and Mane has a high foot, so 50/50 for me. Would be pissed if it was one of our players, let's put it that way.

He had a look and then stuck the studs in Ederson's face. A fucking disgrace and should be banned for 10 games (despite being glossed over on MOTD).

Compare 10-man Dippers to 10-man City in the last game and they have their answer. I doubt any of them would do that, however.

Every last appalling development in football in the last 40 years is down to these scumbags, from all-seater stadiums to bans from Europe. The most enjoyable moment today 9apart from the goals) was the sound of 'you'll never walk alone' from the City fans as these scrotes left en masse with 15 mins to go. #scum

In real time, changed my stance after seeing replays :-) Unlike the cunt Neville.
