If Rotterdam is the equivalent of Liverpool that would make the inhabitants somewhat obtuse and backward or, in other words, 'damn rotters'.

Noticed that Zinchenko has been left out of the squad in favour of Muric as 3rd keeper. There was a work permit issue for the Ukrainian which is reported as resolved. In January Muric will be eligible for the B list which will free a space up.

hope Pep play a back 4 in this one. i also want to see Bernardo Silva out there. wouldn't mind if it was instead of Silva; he's played every match including the internationals. this might be a good one for him to be on the bench.

We should be looking at winning this one with a bit to spare.
In fact we should be looking to get this group done and dusted long before the last game away in Donetsk which at the moment is a few days before the derby.

Don't think it will matter, as I can't see Zinchenko getting a game in the knock-out rounds.

If the work permit had been resolved in time I think Zinchenko would be on the list instead of Muric - unless they are planning to move him in January and didn't want him cup-tied - just an idle speculation though since he would be, as you say, very unlikely to turn out. Makes you wonder what would have happened if we'd signed a proper left back who was foreign trained.

Maybe wouldn't have named a third keeper in the A list and gave the spot to new foreign left back.

At the moment Napoli are a VERY good outfit.

Fast,athletic & aggressive.

They are our rivals for the group.

Mangala probably

Mangala should have been Evans, they wouldn't have left him out surely after paying £30m

Aye but he'd probably have replaced Delph in the association grown spots.

I think.im alone in thinking this will be a tough group. Particularly Napoli. This year's "Monaco" possibly?

It will be really tough. Napoli was a real stinger out of pot 3. A good start is crucial.
