Someone has got to say it so it might as well be me.

Can you be considered world class when you've won nothing?

Would he get in Madrid's team? If so, at whose expense?

I get that the English media want to find an English star, but there simply aren't any English players at that level.

The guy is the definition of lucky - so if you can call luck a skill... He wouldn't be getting anywhere near the attention he currently gets if he wasn't English.

Reminds me of horse head at the swamp in a way hard to argue with his scoring record but doesn't look that great a footballer.

If anything, his finishing is world class. His shooting in general is incredibly consistent.

To answer your question Tokyo, I'd say Le Tiss was world class and he won nothing.

He's a very good player. Does it matter if he's world class or almost?

He is world class Yes.

He would bang about 50 goals in our team too.

He would be great at Madrid once Ronaldo fucks off, a better version of Benzema.

He's a good example to younger players that you can make it a bit later if you don't straight away. I know he went on loan loads before finally getting a chance at Spurs. If he we had one of our own scoring 30 goals a season like him I reckon we would be calling him world class, no dramas.

Couldn't agree more. He was the best opposition player I've ever seen in the flesh. Absolutely worth the entrance money on his own.

It doesn't matter to me in the slightest if Kane is world class or not. It is just the licence fee thieves trying to build him up.

I don't think he is world class but I don't know why. Maybe it's because he's dolly dimple. He's certainly an outstanding goalscorer.

Very good goals record.

I think to be considered world class you have to be consistently outstanding amongst world class players in a very good or great team i.e. Kun & Merlin.

Daffy could get there but not before Kevin Brown.

He has an undoubtedly fine goal-scoring record with Tottingham but I'm not sure if that necessarily makes him, at this point in time, "world class".

It would be interesting to see him perform in a different, more technical League with better and more disciplined defenders and systems than the PL seems to throw up. Playing in an England shirt, he definitely doesn't look world class, although that's perhaps being unfair for all sorts of reasons.

Maybe in two or three year's time, when he's approaching his prime, we might be able to judge better but, after all, Jermaine Defoe always seems to have had a good scoring record wheresoever he has played, but would he be regarded as world class ??

At the moment no but, in the future, who knows ??

There is more adulation from the media in this country for Kane than there ever has been or will be for Kun...talk about bias for a fuckign player because hes English as he plays for a london club.

Aguero has been the out and out best forward this country has seen for fuckign years ,yet he doesnt even get anywhere near POTY..barely POT fuckign month in all the time hes been playing over here.

Back OT ,HK is indeed a top player and top scorer for his club...but world class ? far too early to give him that status.

The lad has proved his critics wrong.
One season wonder they said.
Each season starts slow and they question him.
Let's see if he can do something in international tournaments as England badly need a decent striker.

I like him. Works hard and knows where the goal is. The detractors will say he has no finesse or particular skill to beat a man. But as long as the net keeps rippling , he has done what he gets paid to do.

Without an agreed definition of 'world class', all opinions are equally valid. First rule of debate: define your terms.

Can't argue with any of that

What i like about Kane is, he just seems like a normal bloke who likes playing football and scoring goals, no silly tatts no silly wags no controversy no fancy clothes none of the bs that goes with most footballers. He is hard to dislike.

Yeah but he plays for Spurs, that makes it easy for me to dislike him.
