His record in the Premier League is great. Got admire him not so long ago he was on loan at Swindon. I best he would fetch 100 mill plus.

Exactly.

Far too many players have the label "world class" for my money.

My definition would be a World Cup squad of 23. Does a player get in that? As a forward that is a tough ask. Messi and Ronaldo are shoo ins. You've then got three more striker positions to fill. Perm from Aguero, Lewandowski, Neymar, Benzema, Kane and anyone else who you think is worthy. I personally don't think you have to have won anything or done it on the International stage. Rush for example or Best played for poor outfits internationally. Yet both would have got in a World Cup squad at the peak of their powers.

The example of Le Tissier above is another good one. Won nothing at club level but a superb talent, criminally overlooked by England.

But would I rate Kane as "world class"? Not yet.
But I would take him here instead of Sanchez in a heartbeat. Does everything you could want in a striker. Scores goals, inside and outside the box. Right foot, left foot and can head a ball. Can also hold it up if necessary. Has a seemingly good temperament, stays out of trouble, is rarely injured and seems to be well liked by his team mates.

£100m easily and it would be money well spent IMO

Yeah but he plays for Spurs, that makes it easy for me to dislike him.

this.

compare him to a certain, supposed, world class player over at the swamp...
kane does his talking on the pitch and isn't obsessed with his off field image.

Very tidy player. Has proven himself time and time again. Gets on with the job and isn't a big time Charlie. Hard not to like him as a bloke and as a player (except for the fact that he doesn't play for City of course).

Don't know would he work for us though? Maybe as a plan B?

Not sure about that, his teamwork is essential, plus the second fiddle role to the ex rag twat is not to be under estimated. Kane is outstanding but a main man not an assist type of player.

I thought he was englands worst player at the last euros. If he hadn't had been taking corners wouldn't have noticed he was playing in most of the games. He stats are very impressive and I think the whole Spurs system is built around him. Very good goal scorer in that side but never saw much more to his games but that's strikers job and what wins games so it's hard to argue with the call .

Why is it strange that English papers rave about an English player? They should. I bet Argentinian papers piss themselves when someone says Kane is better than Aguero.

He's a very good player. Does it matter if he's world class or almost?

imho,
that's why the word "world" is endorsed, at some point in a career's time.

Buffon was considered one of many class kkepers, untill he won the WC.
Some turd even questioned the "world class" status of Johan Cruijff - one of Football Gods - till he proved himself outside the Orange machine, ending Barca title jinx.
just to name who's springing to mind now.

WW put up a very strong case, but imo so far he's just a class, down-to-earth finisher, with enviable appeal to London press.
Yes, probably he would make a much better Benzema at Madrid, but so far theoretically only.

Plus he's a f@king spud.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Yeah, no.
Look, I like Kane as good old fashioned finisher. English version of Pippo Inzaghi if you will. But he is amazingly one dimensional as far as moder striker goes. Top managers these days want more out of strikers than just bag of goals. That's just the way it is. Benzema offers top quality link up play and ability to play as true 9, true 10 or false 9. He has even played on the wing on occasion. Kane on the otherhand is exclusively true 9. Every single Tottenham attack is aimed towards Kane finishing it. I really can't see Zidane preferring Kane to Benzema especially with Real's system of players switching position all the time.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Matt Le Tissier. First of all, that goal video of his should be uploaded to pornhub. Guy literally didn't score shit goals. I LOVED watching him in his prime. And as you said, Carlton Palmer being preferred to him for England.... I still don't know what to say. BUT was he WORLD class? To me he wasn't. He was great show for neutral to watch but people tend to forget that when he was in the mood he truly was close to world calss but when he wasn't up for it, which happened regularily, he was basically just walking around the pitch doing nothing. Very good player? Yes. Cult hero? Yes. One of my favourite non-City players? Yes. World class? No.
