if we're one of the best teams that has ever played in the premier league then harry kane has to be a world class striker

By that merit, was Shearer not world class? I think your judgement is harsh that a player needs to win things to be thought of as world class. Although it's very unlikely in the modern day, what if someone the calibre of Messi didn't play for a top club?

On the flip side, you've also got the likes of Kleberson who has won the world cup, and Djimi Traore who is a Champions League winner.

Shearer did win things. I personally wouldn't call him WC, rather a great PL player. As for the last 2 you quote, you're just being silly mate.

You are missing the point though Beefy. The media are building him up so that England can sell mega bucks worth of Shirts before the WM, whereby he will promptly lose form and be the first on the aircraft before the knock--out stages.

*hangs head in shame*

I knew there was some ulterior motive to this thread.

I'm still confused as to why "knockout" is double hyphened. I suspect foul play.

Certainly would - principally by not playing for us. He's not what Pep wants up front - he just not quick enough.

I suppose he’s a little bit in the Ibrahimovic mould, so there is anocdotal evidence to suggest you are correct
