*** City v Crystal Palace match thread ***

Postby john@staustell » Sat Sep 23, 2017 4:47 am

Coming up today, setting off shortly in case of traffic on M6.

Kompany back? All the signs are that we will win about 7-0. But we all know what that means don't we?

We've been knocking them in for fun; Palace can't buy a goal. Got 0-1 written all over it. Anyway, this is what the great man had to say ahead of today.

I've got two words rattling round my head this morning that just won't go away...... the second word being City

Always good to see the Canadian channels showing the game, hopefully I'll get to see all 90 in HD.

Can't wait to see how Palace try to cope with us. Hopefully we can give them such a beating they'll be as good as relegated by 5pm.

Thrash them, yes (hopefully!), but leave them with belief for their next two games!

just play like we have been playing and I can see us get 5-7 goals, but this is city we are talking about, even if we won 10 prems , most city fans would feel like its typical city

Thanks for the corrective, JL. My inveterate hatred of Simon Jordan and Steve Coppell blinded me to the proper horizon on which I should be focusing. 10-0 it is then and they live to fight another day.

Neil Swarbrick

Oversaw 4 games last season, away wins against, Swansea,Bournemouth, and Southampton. Home was 0-0 against stoke.

Sterling and Sane both picked two yellows in those so I think he's not a fan of players going down cheaply

Cheers bud. Swarbrick isn't usually that bad and let's the game flow; tries not bringing attention to himself unless needed.

Think he did the Stoke v Rag game the other week where the Rags dropped 2 points. He'll do for me ;-)
