Pep on Mendy: "We are going to do a test to see if he is able to play."

That sounds like it's something minor. Fingers crossed.

You're absolutely right - it's looking bleak for him and Gundogan. The problem when Bendy is crocked is that the whole team is out of whack.

"The much-adored French left-back Benjamin Mendy is a doubt after going off against Crystal Palace, but it doesn’t appear to be serious, with Guardiola saying, “We are going to test and see if Mendy is able to play.”

However, Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gündoğan are OUT of tomorrow’s game.

“Ilkay did part of the training yesterday. Vincent is not ready for tomorrow,” Guardiola told the media at the CFA2

Don't believe a word of it ;)

Don't say knee-jerk!
You'll put the kibosh on it.

as long as everything [sure not everyone, as Ilkay won't, sadly] is gonna be allright comes saturday at Stanford bridge, I m reasonably fine with that.

at risk of "arrogant talking" reprimenda, think the whole Team has shown enough drive, resillience, focus, strenght in depth and application to Pep's system to grant a confident expectation for tomoz.

sorry for probable headache. trying to go multitasking is proving harder by the day, for this old miserable git of me

Even if he is passed fit, it might be best not to play him until Saturday.

Man... by default I can hardly venture beyond my limits
thus I defer to Yr broader scope ;)

IWT knows better: I think "frangar non flectar" is to be used cerefully on a fans forum.
althought it's not very kind of him, to single me out as epitome of non gentle villain. ;)
Funny enough, I do insist on belief that Lucius Annaeus had been a major influential read in my youth.

This knock Kompany took is taking rather long to recover from, isn't it?

I'd imagine at his age and given his injury record over the last few years, he'll be given extra time to recover in each case.

I don't think it can be classed as a knock given the length of time he has been out. We do need him back though, but I do wonder if Pep attaches any blame to Vince in this matter.

We dont need him back until we start conceding again and I bet a pound to a penny PEP is rightly pissed off at Vince.

All in all he should stay on the bench till further notice , regardless of him being fit.

Agreed. Needs to make a choice as he s not got it in him to serve club and country.
