Delph was very good last night, but he's no Mendy - he dosen't have the pace and energy to bomb up and down that flank. Our tactical set-up will have to be different with him as left back, as evident last night, where Delph most of the time dropped into midfield as an "inverted fullback" in the build-up and let Sané provide the width. I think that's why Pep is playing with the idea of introducing Zinchenko to this role too. It will give us another option when needed. If he steps up to the plate, I suspect that Zinchenko will be a better fit as a wing back in a 3-5-2 than Dleph, for instance.
