But he's got a clause in his contract that Madrid will activate in summer 2024 ? That's what the Beeb gossip keeps telling us

and all that with pep subbing off all the time....
his scoring record is pretty much on par (1.175/game) with the the ridiculous seasons messi had where he scored 73 in 60 and 60 in 50.

His 47 goals (so far) have been scored at the rate of 1 every 65 mins played. 47 x 65 = 3055 minutes of playing time. Divide that by 90 and incredibly his 47 goals have been scored in the equivalent of less than 34 full matches. That's about 1.38 goals per game. Awesome doesn't quite do the man justice.

lifted from twitter

A statistic that sounds fake.

Erling Haaland has now played 2,000 minutes in the Champions League, scoring 35 goals in that time.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest scorer in the competition’s history, with 140 goals.

He scored a total of 0 goals in his first 2,000 minutes.

Even if the Ronaldo part isn't correct, 35 goals in 2000 minutes works out at a goal every 57 minutes

At the quarter-final stage of the 2006–07 UEFA Champions League, Ronaldo scored his first goals in his 30th match in the competition, scoring twice in a 7–1 win over Roma.

I wonder if football became poorer or player became better with the new training regimes, etc?
I remember the days of Raul and Inzaghi, and they barely got 40 goals. And they were no muggers.

Inzaghi wouldn't get anywhere near that these days with VAR...

some quotes about Erling - enjoy!
Another record tumbles for Haaland
Haaland has scored 35 goals in only 27 Champions League appearances. Just let that sink in. He's only 22. Players like him should still be learning about the game. He's almost completed it, mate.
He's got to 35 goals in this competition faster than anyone else. Ruud van Nistelrooy got there in 42 games, it took Lionel Messi 36 games, Kylian Mbappe 37 and Cristiano Ronaldo took 56 matches.
Haaland's goal in Munich means he's also the youngest player to score 35 Champions League goals, surpassing Mbappe's age of 23 years and 260 days.
and this one made me chuckle....
For the goal, Upamecano was left on his backside by the full force of Haaland's pace and power. City no longer have to play 20 passes to create a chance. One pass - usually to Haaland - is all it takes.
I wish there was a way to know you are in the good old days....before you've actually left them...

Ah mongo, come on... there's a big difference between missing a word in the sentence once in a blue moon and having the grammar of a 5 year old the whole time you've been on this forum.

You have an intellectual disability. Stop blaming your phone or your cooking and just man up.

Have a great evening.
