A couple of stats...

  1. Courtesy of Chinners' bollox, City are the first PL club to reach 1m Youtube subscribers.

    Watch on youtube.com

  2. Courtesy of MotD, Mourinho has never come back from 2 goals (talksport's Bingham said two-nil) down as a PL manager.

Long may that continue.

It would be very nice were they to concede the most goals at home, as well.

Goodbye mention of 1894 and Everton, hello hush.

Found buried at the bottom of a pile of stats about the weekend games:

City's haul of 32 goals is the second highest at this stage of the season after their own tally of 33 in 2011-12

Manchester City have made the best start to a Premier League season after 10 games, collecting 28 points (won nine, drawn one) with a goal difference of+29.
The Citizens are now unbeaten in 21 games in all competitions (won 17, drawn four) - the longest run without defeat in their history.
Guardiola's side have now won their last eight Premier League games by an aggregate score of 32-5.
City completed 844 passes in this game; the most by a team in the Premier League since the start of the 2003-04 campaign.
West Brom, meanwhile, have lost 15 of their last 16 Premier League games against Manchester City (drawn one), conceding 43 goals in this run.
Sterling has scored nine goals in all competitions in 2017-18; the most of any Manchester City player, while only Harry Kane (13) and Romelu Lukaku (11) have netted more among Premier League players.
Sane has had a hand in 11 goals in his last seven Premier League games for Man City (six goals, five assists).

Make that four times in five games for a goal and an assist. Truly awesome stats

They haven't won at home since December 16

They have only held the lead at home for 3 minutes in 2017

Celtic break their own 100+ year record by going 63 games unbeaten. Scottish league or not, that's a mental run of games!

Still a way to go to beat the 104 by Steaua Bucharest (1986–89)
The Romanian side set this European record during their mid-1980s golden age under Emeric Jenei and later Anghel Iordănescu. Winners of the 1985/86 European Champion Clubs' Cup, semi-finalists in 1987/88 and runners-up in 1988/89, a team featuring the likes of Miodrag Belodedici, László Bölöni, Marius Lăcătuş, Victor Piţurcă and Gavril Balint were unrivalled at home. They lifted five straight titles until a resurgent Dinamo Bucureşti knocked them off their perch in 1989/90. They also won all 15 Romanian Cup matches they played in that period, making their total domestic unbeaten run 119 fixtures.

Thanks for that JC, especially the blast from the past re Gavril Balint.

Really liked him as a player and I sometimes used to wish that City had him.....not that he would have come to us at that stage.

Just think though, Sky and the media would love the Scum to have statistics like the ones here.

How boring would that be.

Interestingly, or not, we've amassed 31 points and our GD is also 31.

If we had a defence as skilled and as stubborn as the Scum's well drilled back line, just think where we would be in the League............

After eleven games no side has ever been eight points clear in the PL. Well, until now!

I hadn't realised the Scum's GD was appreciably better than Tottingham's; 18 to 13.

All sorts of reasons really, but the Scum made hay, earlier in the season against poor opposition, with their easy start.

In a tight finish, such considerations are vital.

KDB has now been involved in 50 PL goals, 16 goals and 34 assists, in 76 games. A record for a midfielder.

Sunderland have become the first English team ever to fail to win any of their last twenty home games in all competitions. Coleman really does have his work cut out

Surely Frank Lamps was involved in 50+ PL goals?
