Funny how that has never been mentioned before. It's almost as if it didn't happen and has been airbrushed from history

We all know that unless it is a Liverpool or United title win, if it happened before 1992 it doesn't count.

It's odd but people don't rave about him, not even most of the blues I see after the games. He's incredible.

I think that’s partly because he makes it look too easy, so doesn’t get the credit.

It is. must have something to do with destiny imprinted in his name, I reckon.

I 4 1, have wanked over his blessing on City since his first cap on sky blue kit.
often got stick for blasphemy upon saying that he used to render the attacking pack more fluid than when Sergio - WHO WE ALL LOVE - was on the pack.
Debate buried in the past, it seems, thanks to Pep good work, now.

Third time in four PL games Sane has scored AND assisted in the same match

.....and another clean sheet for us as well today.

This is starting to become a satisfying habit; hope it continues to the end of the season.

Just as an aside MC, would you sooner win 3-0 and have the clean sheet or 4-1 with the added goal?

4-1 every time (4-0 would be even better !!) but, given our defensive frailties of recent seasons, it's just nice to have a few clean sheets.

Which would be your choice NB ??

I am torn. 4-1 is the better score in terms of goal difference as though it's +3 on both counts 4 is obviously better for goals scored. It's always nice to score more goals as well

But on the flip side, clean sheets both breed confidence in your own play and instil dread in your opponents. Conceding goals gives the opposition a glimmer of hope, however small. Clean sheets mean the opposition may well give up before they've even started.

Look at last season. We still scored plenty but the opposition always fancied themselves to score and in all likeliness, our team probably thought the same. The clean sheets we've had this season has instilled much better self belief in our defensive play which in turn leads to more chances as we can now play to our strengths much better. I reckon we have a higher percentage of possession this season and we are now killing sides with it. Burnley today seemed to be content to lose the game and keep the score down.

So, I know it's boring, but I think I'd sooner see 3-0

OK we'll have to agree to compromise NB and settle for the 4-0 I mentioned.

Mind you, I'd also prefer 7-2 instead of 5-0. I'm just goal greedy.

There's some ding-dong battle going on between our front three/four for goals per minute in the league.

As it stands

Aguero 1 every 78 minutes
Sterling 80
Jesus 82
Sane 100
