Gareth Barry - record breaker

Dedication - dedication - dedication is yeah, whatcha need etc.
Well done to our very own gaz baz for breaking the premier league appearance record tonight - let's see how "Giggsy" likes having something of his smashed for a change

Always thought he was underrated - not by the mangers he played for, but, fans, pundits and media

Underrated by England managers, should have 100 caps.

That's true, I stand corrected, especially at a time when England were crying out for a left sided midfielder

We should have never let him go to Everton that time. Very intelligent footballer.

I always felt that the answer to the Lampard/Gerrard debate was Gareth Barry.

Got a photo of him and me when we played QPR away (11/12 season iirc, we drew 2-2). He'd just walked out of changing room so I asked for a photo and the missus was just doing the honours when Mario walked straight through picture

Really nice fella asked me about City and me. On the pitch he was very understated in his job for us so taking the record for most games is wonderful (especially from that twat).

Congrats to him. A model pro.

Was always excellent for us. It’s great that the fondest memories of his career were with us.

This.

A fantastic pro and a really decent character. Left the club because Pellers did not want him anymore (sadly, good decision), never heard him say a bad word against us, either manager or club. Then I look at the world best left back from Anfield, the club wanted him here, offered big money and all he does is talk and talk.

Maybe this is why some are really legends, while others are just stats.

Well in, GazBaz. A genuine fantastic fella.

A great servant - no messing - knew his own strengths.

For ages it seemed as though one of his personal objectives every game seemed to be to touch the ball with his hand without conceding a free kick.

He also had the ability to use his arse on a football pitch in a way I've never seen before or since.

One of my favourite City players of that time, Gaz Barry always made the best use of his ability and thought deeply about the game. I find it fitting that a fine professional such as him should break the record for playing the most games.

I think he will make a good manager when he finally hangs up his boots.

I find it sweeter that he removed the family man from the record too.

Always liked Barry. Excellent pro who just won the ball and looked for Silva every time. Read the game brilliantly.

Congratulations.

A model pro, respected by peeps who know the game. Did his talking on the pitch and then went home.

Spoke fairly & fondly of all his clubs but admits his time at City was his favourite.

I'll never forget him putting Terry right on his arse when we were finding our way early on. I thought then,we've got a proper player here whole stand up and be counted & be relied on when it gets tough.

Keep going GB.
