MotM v Shaktar

Some wonderful performances in the second half, and some strong in the first.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Have to give it to Fabian for filling that gap brilliantly.
Honourable runner up for Fernandinho.

I'm following in the wake of Carl's (and Pep's) footsteps and going for Delph.

Have to agree with majority, unfortunately I didn't get too see large chunks of the game as our lad had footy training 8-9! Delph was soaking up the the pressure in the little I saw. Can't wait to see KDB goal from what I read in match thread, sounded like a good one.

Two clean sheets in opening games in UCL, let's see what Napoli have to offer?

Delph by a country mile for me. Looks well suited to that position which pleasantly surprised me

About the way I saw it too. Stones also excellent as was Ederson. Impressed also by the whole of the 2nd half so well done Pep for sorting a few things out., Kevin given MotM on telly but good to hear him say it wasn't one of his best

Went Ederson but I should have gone fern, brain lapse haha. Ederson is just mint in goals, throwing, kicking, saves and sweeping.

Fernandinho tho was the best on park for me. Class act all the way.

Fern is back to his best from a year or so ago, but Delph just edges it for me. Looked better than any fullback that we had last year while playing against a very skillful and quick attack. Always great to see a fringe player take their chance on the big stage without trepidation

Fernandinho was immense all night. Best player on the park. Fabian's defensive work very good and the LB berth could be his till January.

I went for Fern as well. Was huge in protecting the back 4, but also very good in build-up.
that tackle in the first half was sublime.

Delph was a close second for me with Ederson up there as well.

Gave it to Stones who was solid, and improving. But it could have been picked up by a number of players, good team performance.
