To be fair, Gerrard doesn't sound like he thought Chelsea dominated...

Gerrard said Chelsea "showed City too much respect" saying that our weakness is our back 4 and that Chelsea should have pressed us more, and when Conte subbed Morata that showed they were conceding to a draw at home which he says is poor for "the champions at home" and sends a bad message to fans.

Lampard poo pooed on the excuse about an extra days rest saying that was not the reason the result went as it did...he also just said chelsea "were out played."

We have let in 2 goals........so hes right , we are weak as fuck at the back.

Fucking babbling bindipping scouse thief.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Whats that now - 2 goals against.....fuckign disgusting.

Otamendi is a liability, as we saw with that one tackle, but he made some good tackles and headers earlier.

Stones has been rock solid, Walker makes mistakes from time to time, but works hard to make up for them with his pace/workrate, and also has done some very good defending. Delph has been excellent in the last two games as well, and Ederson is a revelation.

Really, it is arguably our "biggest weakness" but it is clearly miles improved from last season, and more importantly other players are also contributing more to defending, other than our DM (Fern, usually), in particular KDB who is playing out of his mind everywhere on the pitch.

Oddly enough without Mendy we are stronger with Delph in defence without the ball.

Wow, that's an absolutely insane assessment of the game for anyone to say, nonetheless a former professional player.

We had 60%+ of the ball could have scored more. They defended well to prevent more goals, but their counter attacks were stifiled by our own fantastic work rate/commitment from the team.

We utterly dominated them and everyone could see it. NBC went on and on about it. All of their pundits. I know Gerrard probably hates us, but that's beyond awful analysis.

Um, I was kidding you...

I only managed to see the second half, but that was a master class performance.

It was even better than our win in the swamp last season. I want to be realistic and say that Chavs had a very difficult game midweek at Atletico, plus the travel and we could see very clear that their fitness was on the minimum, but FFS, our style of play was incredible.

Sane, Sterling and Jesus recovered and stopped every 1 of 2 attacks Chelsea started, while Sir Fern was all over the middle of the field, from a corner to the other. Going back on our defence, Walker was fantastic, while Delphino, if he stays fit, might be reborn.
Stones looked like a leader, while Otamende finally was a tough fucker we needed on the back. And when all did not work, and it was maybe once or twice, we saw that gangster from the favela with balls of steel that was the king of his area.

Gentleman, our performance was beyond fantastic. One of the best halfs I saw from a team, without being biased, in the last 10 years.

And I would like to end by saying FUCK YOU FIFA, UEFA, FA and other cuntish groups like that. It is a fucking travesty to not include De Bruyne in their shortlists. That fucker is the complete player, one of the best I ever saw playing in ANY premier league shirts. He is up there with the likes of Platini, Zidane, Hagi, etc. Playmakers like him are once in a lifetime.

Good night to be a City fan, gents. Actually a great night.

Hmm...KDB didn't play well?

Other than the goal he had a few excellent deliveries from crosses, passes and free kicks, and worked his arse off to win the ball back in a few key moments as I can recall.

Massive win. Could only listen on Talkshite but sounds like we were awesome.

In fairness to the first few Chelsea fans who phoned in they were very complimentary of us.

Just had a look over on Rag Café, one or two RAGS are very complimentary about us.(don’t worry I am going for a shower shortly    ).Their big test is coming up now, They face Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, in 3 out of their next 4 games. Rightly they conclude they will know after these games if they will be title challengers, or not. Our next big test is Arsenal on Bonfire night. Hopefully we will have a bit of daylight between us both by then.

Thank you Ladies & Gentlemen, missed the game today so the match thread became a re-run with not knowing the score.

We pummel him when we're playing shit so it's only right that he should be applauded when we're playing well. And, we are playing well!

Anybody care to comment on how the ref played? I only ask as it always seems to be the Chelsea game when he fucks us over.
