Is the amazing turnaround due to Pep's coaching?
Pep seems to be improving players.
For ex, Sterling - looks up when he gets the ball, thinks about the pass and his positioning, etc...

Looks like the same with Delph?

He's always been a tidy little player. No doubt he'll get injured on international duty. If I were him I'd have turned down the call up.

Last season when fit he did a job for us.

The issue has been "when fit."

Pep has admitted that he should have played him more last season, probably mostly to give Delph confidence.

It's working that's for sure, and his teammates apparently really like him as well, so I hear.

Southgate has clearly noticed as well, given his selection for the next few qualifiers.

Hope it contiunes, and yes, he has improved players games (added new aspects that were not there or we did not see enough of) that is for sure.

Aguero, Yaya, Sane, Sterling, Delph, Kola (for a time last season), Stones, KDB. Am I forgetting anyone?

I agree with this. Delph is a very good footballer. He's not on Silva, Bernardo, Gundogan and KdB's level when I comes to tiki-taka and therefore maybe not optimal as a midfielder in our set-up (he would still outshine Mooy in Huddersfield, just as an example). But moving out to full back gives him a little bit more time on the ball, and he won't have to worry about what's behind him when receiving the ball (most of the time it's the end of the pitch).

Sums it up nicely:

Probably the highest compliment he has gotten is for Pep to say he made a mistake and should have played him more last year

Chuffed to fuck for the lad, immese again today his time at city typifies the the fight to the end attitude throughout the squad which appears as tight as ever.

He turned down stoke in the summer and it was clearly the right decision.

Proper all rounder. So impressive how he's fitted in. An upgrade on Milner in terms of versitility. Please stay fit.

They're both from Yorkshire but Delph wasn't dropped on his head as a kid.

I reckon that now that should be taken for a fact.

Delphinho deserve so much credit for being humble, focused and dedicated on what seems the new mission Pep's given to the lad.
I was nearly shocked when I saw him picked over Danilo, in such a tough tie away at the Champs but, fair dos to both.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!
