He deserves his place. He played great midweek and again today.
Every squad needs utility players like him.
Loving his attitude.
Hope he stays fit. He deserves a bit of good luck.

Good to still have a determined utility player. More of a Fabaleta than a Fabinho or Fabsquarejaw?

He's always been a very good player but unfortunately was not fit often enough.

Starting regularly in midfield will always be difficult for him considering who his competition is. But with Mendy out he has a great opportunity to nail down a position on the left.

He seems determined to make the most of his time here at City and is thriving from being around world class players.

After the past 2 games, he deserves to keep his place in the starting in 11.

Injured already ? Not trained with England. Earlier than even we thought as he's not played yet!

I read he pulled out after pulling up sore from the Chelsea game.

Dikchead manager wouldn't have played him from the start anyway and only used him as an excuse sub towards the end when it all goes wrong. Thus he over reaches , gets an injury and City ( he along with Sterling) get the blame for it all.

He's got 10 days now to go through low intensity recovery whilst building elite conditioning. I feel sympathy for him missing a cap but in the longer term this could be the best outcome for him & City. He'll need to be carefully managed right through the season. He problem cant play more than 30 games.

Btw....loved the way all the subs, especially Yaya, mobbed The Kev when he scored at chavski. All came on at the end too !!

I was surprised Danilo and Zinchenko weren't sent off.
