See why Pep might want him?

Is Mangala even capable of these things at all, or even try? Be honest.

Show a video of Mangala against Chelsea when he had Costa in his pocket. Or against PSG where he had destroyed Ibra. They’re proper strikers, not shitty Brighton ones.

He's a bit late on the uptake if there is any truth to these rumours.

MEN suggesting City are after Fred from Shakhtar as an ultimate replacement for Fernandinho. He’s a very good player but he’s tiny. We do need some height in the team. I was hoping for Julian Weigl.

Maguire has shown these abilities in more than just that one match. I've watched a few of his games out of curiosity after I noticed his on the ball abilities in a few games by chance as well as these highlights from earlier in the season.

He looks like he's a big oaf, and he is not blessed with pace, but he positions himself well. I think in one of Leicster most recent games I saw him beaten for pace, but recover with an excellent tackle. I believe a pen was given, or a free kick, but upon replay it showed that it was a clean tackle actually. He's also massive and gives us height we lack on defending set pieces, where we are most vulnerable. He also recovered quickly and did something well, which I can't recall, but showed strong character to me.

The video points to getting too close to attackers, particularly with pace, and that's what happened in the instance I recall, but w're also not asking him to be amazing, but our 3rd CB who can do a job when needing to rest Otamendi or Stones.

We all probably recall Mangala's first game, but that performance still does not help Mangala with possessing the ball playing defender abilities (first touch, range of passing, dribbling the ball out of defence) that Maguire does and is what Pep is looking for from his centre halves.

He's also young enough, and Pep has improved virtually every player on the team, so why would we not believe he would have a chance with Maguire?

Anyway, sounds like it's not happening anyway, so prepare yourselves for "Welcome to City, JFE!!!"

if Liverpool end up bringing Keita in during this window they will have paid more for him than United did for Pogba--reportedly.

Basel are about to lose their best CB and one of their best players which will help us when we play them in the CL.

With a surname like that JC, I would have thought his destination would have been Italy

The inevitable has happened with Delph, who will be out now for some time, so I really hope we will bring in a left back this window. I'd also prefer a central midfielder to Sanchez as Gundo and Yaya are no longer good enough

One things for sure, maguire wouldnt have been pushed off the ball like stones today.

Now sanchez is likely gone, what have we got up our sleeve? We look nackered, similar happened under mancini when we won the league come jan we looked fucked.

A couple of bodies could do us wonders. Central def/left back and maybe a centre mid to give fern a hand

We have had problems at LB all season and there are no signs that we are getting anyone in during this window, however, if we do dip into the market, I would like us to go for Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon. 17 years old, has made the LB position his own and is doing very well. Has 7 goals and 4 assists, quick and a great engine. I don't know why none of the big teams have not tried to get this lad.
