Really? I caught the last 20 minutes and Sanè was constantly giving the ball away. He took his goal well after a fantastic ball from Kev. But it worries me he's constantly giving the ball away and running in to two defenders losing the ball.

He got an assist and a goal. As for the running into 2 defenders that's cos he had 2 men on him all game. He's young, he's raw and I probably wouldn't have picked him today but the boy's got talent

I'm not convinced. Don't think he'd get a retrospective though.

By which I mean I can't tell from that single frame whether his foot got caught under an advancing Pope, turning his leg in or whether he put his foot out under Pope. There was definite contact though so he shouldn't, based on precedent, get a retrospective ban should the FA decide to examine it, despite the overtheatrical dive - a trait he repeated later in the game and needs to lose now that he's playing in England.

(Apologies, I was on a tablet before and long explanatory posts from that are a pain to do.)

Still, we won, scum lost. I'm happy! :D

No doubt he's got talent mate. But why does his decision making never get brought up, yet Sterling gets constant abuse for his?

Today was one of those games where too many weren't at their best and couldn't unlock anything, but Stones could see and play a cutting forward ball taking out half the opposition and create an attack. Superb stuff. Like Yaya used to do, find a hard, direct but cultured ball into feet 30/40 yards away through a gap he has no right finding.

If he keeps going the way he's going, by the time he retires he should be the benchmark for every aspiring English centre back. Wonderful ball player.

Our most improved player this season. And pep has improved a lot of this squad. Stones is awesome at the moment

I agree with you mate his decision making is inconsistent. But I love raheem too and see many positives in his game. I actually said before the game I would've played raheem instead of Sane
Maybe it's cos Shane's finishing is better than raheem's that his other faults get overlooked.aybe it's cos a lot of our fans fall for the same bullshit he gets in the press. Either way I love them both - they're our future

Yup. Only a cunt gets a team playing this well and producing results to match. Over the past 2-3 years, being 1-0 up to Burnley with 30 mins to go on a windy, rainy day would have been a nervy finish or loss. Today was comfortable.

Giving a player rest who has experienced burnout in the past. What a cunt.

Credit to Sean Dyche. Very honest post match interview and refused to go down the "money" route that the interviewer wanted to lead him on. Think he's a quality guy and manager

He said we cheated. Only cheating going on out on the pitch today was his team. Anyone paying to see football got one team playing it and the other opening its bowels all over the place.
