MotM v Napoli

Postby Beefymcfc » Wed Nov 01, 2017 10:20 pm

Fuck me, that was something, wasn't it!

Plenty to choose from tonight but I'm personally going for Sergio, for obvious reasons.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

So difficult to pick..

for me:

Pot 1

Raz
Stonesy
Fern

Pot 2

Leroy
Nico
Sergio

Pot 3

Gundogan
Delph

Pot 4:

Silva 1
Silva 2

I want to go for Sterling, and Fern was all over the pitch doing the right thing but I might just go with Stones as he could have had 2 goals tonight hitting the bar twice from headers, and was excellent at the back in the tackle, as well as with his decision making against an incredible Napoli attack.

when someone breaks a record as legendary as the Eric Brook's, also scoring a so important tie breaker, can only be him:

SERGIO_THE KUN_AGUERO_178!

from Argentina to Manchester City FC Legend in 6 years

probably the most shining Blue lad was Raheem tonight, but the above absorbes anything, imo.
also, special mention to Eddie and Leroy (can we buy him a set of proper cleats, btw).

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

wanted to go with Stones but had to go with Ederson.

he got a fingertip on Callejon's ball (and maybe saved a goal) and forced the corner that led to Aguero's goal.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Lots of options in this match but I went for Sterling.

He’ll soon be as good Jordan Ibe if he keeps this form going.

One thing I noticed was how the game essentially died when big dave entered the field. Often overlooked but Napoli didn't get near the ball when he came on. The other players looked a different prospect with him on the pitch.

Absolute class.

I noticed. Absolute class indeed. Like I said earlier, it looked like we could hold it at 2-3 for as long as we liked.
When Bernardo came on then it got ridiculous, between them they just toyed with them.
Tired them out completely and the 4th was inevitable.

Nah, they haven’t forgiven him for the disgraceful manner in which he went about leaving Liverpool.

Sterling was brilliant all game, Stones was immense & Agureo was ok, nothing great but got his goal. In the end I went for the Otter snaffling up fish all game with the added bonus of a goal

Went for Stones; can't believe I've cast another vote, in another game, for one of our defenders, but I'm getting to like them as they're performing, of late, in a most creditable fashion.

Went for Stones but if I could pick someone who has impressed me since we needed a replacement for Mendy then Delph would get a vote every time he plays at the moment.
