MotM v Arsenal

Postby Beefymcfc » Sun Nov 05, 2017 8:23 pm

Not been back long but definitely better late than never.

I thought there were so many performances today and it's hard to separate them. Possibly due to Pep putting the emphasis on the team rather than individuals. To that end, I think it's only right that he is included in this one.

What a game to pick a MotM though. Didn't they pkay-up to the point that we'd only beat them once in 9, including the dodgy FA Cup game last season, as well as the Community Shield! Well fuckers, stick that in your pipe and smoke it!
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Find it hard to pick an individual.
Gave it to Fern, because of the shift he put in.

For me David with his movement of the ball back to his best
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

Long day and only just got back home from the game . Brilliant win made even better with the rags losing at Chelsea fucking awesome day !!! 8-)

David Silva pulled all the strings today absolute class and gets my vote . Don't know how it came across on TV but Arsenal were very very decent an,d took us on for the full game . They have some great players and are very quick and press non stop . Back to us ....... the whole team again performed an absolute joy to watch , Fern and Stones again superb and what a goal from Ginger Kev ! Raheem wasteful on a couple of occasions only slight downer .
Not really here

KDB first goal is everything. But the team really right from the start looked up and ready for this game.

Agree with Beefy's notion in the OP.
actors somehow failed to expose the dimension of the gap, but the game canvas deployed naturally and perfectly.
Hence my vote goes to Josep. a cumulative one for the so many times he has made me wet this season. TY, BOSS!

also agree that it's almost impossible to single out an individual player: if I just have to I'd go with KdB (what a novelty!) for the great goal and the usual total coast to coast orchestrating effort. may is longs last until late may (nearly the end was a clear evidence he was run out of breath).

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Mad how people are things differently. Silva was awful today. Couldn’t hit a blue shirt with a pass.

hahaha amazing how a game is seen by different people. I went for Dave but it could have been Dinho.

Overall I don't think we were close to our best today. Good but a not top gear so how good is it to beat a top team without firing on all cylinders

Went pro myself as the team performed better than the individual showings today. Any player could be mentioned and yet any player could have faults picked. The team is simply brilliant!

Silva’s pass completion rate was 80% which was second worst from a City player today.

Read the match thread and what I got from the negatives was that we seemed a little under par. Even better that we won against a top 6 side after winning a European league leader away after a difficult away game.

Hmmmm so couldnt hit a blue shirt with a pass? But he did 80% of the time. Not his best but still worthy of MotM for me and seemingly plenty of others
