Pep will do the same v Shaktar as it is our biggest game and defining game of the season against the rags a few days later . If Carlsberg did perfect situations ........

they wouldn't have Stones injured for 6 weeks :(

Another tough away game coming up Sunday, so hopefully good sense prevails and Kompany does not play tomorrow, and he is not even in the match day squad.
Hectic heavy period coming up so Fern also needs a break we rely heavily on him and he is not getting any younger. Silva, KDB, Walker and Delph all given a night off as well please Pep.

The u19s are through as group leaders so all of our young stars are unequivocally available for first team selection.

As regards whom we may get in the next round, I'd rather Bayern over PSG, particularly if they both continue on trend next year, and Juve over Barca, but the situation is still very fluid in the other groups and if we can better WAXTAP's result tomorrow it would all be academic anyway.

A bit of giggling around with the B list, is it possible to have Mangala at LB and Tosin at CB?

No giggling :P - I think Tosin will play and possibly Mango, but not at wing back. It's tricky but there will be some clues when we see who's missing from u19 line up at 3pm.

Duhaney maybe?

I think it's his wrong side but maybe if Danilo switches - interesting call, TM has LB as his secondary position - he also played in the u23 derby at the week-end and like Tosin he's not eligible for the u19s.

My best guess:

But I wouldn't be surprised to see Jesus on the wing instead of Díaz.

Surely Tosin will get a start, if not what was the point in him signing a new contract? Wouldn't be playing Ottamendi with stones out so him and Mangala centre haves for me. Full backs would be the main area of doubt depending who comes in and which side Danilo is utilsed. Think with Yaya Bernardo gundo and Aguero it's ideal time to intergtate Foden and or Diaz. Plenty of experience to help them through game if needed.

Rest Walker & Kun - go false 9 . Gunn on the bench. Tosser to start.

Norwich might need him that weekend.

if we get away with it though we might as well put Maffeo in at right back.

yes. but if it resets after group stages then i guess he can just sit out both remaining matches as we dont need him to play in those

It doesn't. Amnesty on yellow cards kicks in after quarter finals.

We want to win it, but we don't need to take risks. Be brave with this one and make the most of the home crowd.
