B. Silva is not a winger

Just as well we are already through. Sluggish tonight. Though I suspect, had we needed to win the intensity would've been a bit better. It's been said before but it's worth repeating, we are not the same without David Silva

Not a foul on Sterling there? Looked a shove rather than a shoulder charge to my eye

A half to forget. Need a big boost in energy and get Foden out there

Having said that, quite a nice feeling to have a leisurely CL game like this. Certainly different than past years

Terrible application, tempo, concentration with some of them.
I know Yaya is there to give Fern a rest but there’s no penetration, intensity, or protection when we lose it either. I think a lot of the reason falls flatly on his shoulders. He’s just not able anymore.

Very disappointing that we are not taking this opportunity to put the game away early and give the youngsters a game.

At this rate can’t see them getting any significant time on the pitch.

Anyone who thinks Danilo can play at left back is mad.

Otter was the top passer in the first half - something like 10 or 11 passes more than second placed Yaya (both of them on 91 percent completion)

A giant kick up the arse required in the dressing room methinks.

He’s been awful.
Mangala beside him looks like he’s shitting it.
Walker has been no great shakes either though and Silva in front of him is certainly not taking his chance by the scruff.

Eddie has made a couple of bad decisions as if he doesn’t trust his defence.

We are disjointed. It’s not difficult to see why but, I still think we could take these apart with this team if we were better balanced.

Put Sterling on the right for a start.

C’mon Pep put a rocket up them.

I'm more concerned with the two CBs.
As Dunnie just said, without Stones on the field, Otter and Mangala are all at sea, and it's looking like last season.
Hopefully Komps can take charge.

I'd guess about 45k. I'm on a row of about 30 seats in the south stand and they are populated by 5 people. But, it's not a bad crowd given the circumstances. I got tickets for my nephew and family but the cancelled all 3 yesterday as they aren't members. They do have purchase history but did not meet the criteria. The club explained they were very keen to avoid a repeat of Celtic where they had fans kicking off all over the place. Fair enough.

Twichy is such a sour-faced cunt, you just knew he'd change the situation to us not playing the youth.

Anyway, not bad for a part-time team. Sure it will come.

I'm glad this is the match thread. I had a milli-second of thought earlier on but then realised the majority of these players haven't played together too often.

Yayas passes were sideways and backwards...waste of a fuckign position he is IMO...zero penetration , zero through balls.......not good at all.

we need to start passing a lot faster and make sure the ball will get to one of our players, at the moment we are so slow, wonder if they know I bet 4-0

Really need the new BD, Foden, on for Bernardo (I think Monaco sold us us twin brother).

Don't like to see Bernie jumping out of tackles like that. Agree that he doesn't look comfortable on the wing at all
