Most likely future Ballon D'or winner

Postby Original Dub » Wed Nov 29, 2017 9:01 am

It's been a long time since I created a poll, so hopefully I don't make a bollox of it!

There's been a bit of talk of who might win this one day out of our young holy trinity.

Of course, the odds are it could be none, but who's the most likely, given what you've seen so far?

I went sane as well. His has quite similar attributes to Ronaldo from what I've seen. Decision making and bulking up might be all that's left for him to improve on. Time will tell.

Jesus has had comparisons to the original ronaldo...

Sterling is the dark horse because he really has an unusual style and I can't think of another top player he reminds me of... but the rate at which he's improving is savage.

I went with Sané for this poll, but I think Tintin will beat all three of them to it and be the first City player to win it (while playing for the club).

Reminds me a little of Robben, owing mainly to how he scampers.

If he could add Robben's technique when it comes to long range shooting he'd be right up there with the very best.

That's actually a good shout.
Not sure if we'll ever see the long range shooting to that level though.

But he could well be better inside the box with his close control

If we are talking playing for us, then KDB would be my shout. In the poll, then Sane for me. I think Jesus will win one but I think it could be playing for a Spanish club

IF....

we win the league and champions league this year then one of our lads has to be in with a shout...

as things stand, a wide man with 8 league goals and a goal a game in the cl is my front runner.

Seen as though he’s done more in his career so far than the other two AND already won the Golden Boy, AND is continuing to develop, AND been named in the team of the champions league - has to be Sterling.

It has to be Jesus because in time he will score more goals than the other two I would think. And such awards generally favour goal scorers.

Just that most Brazilians have an affinity with Spanish clubs for whatever reason. Not saying he wants to leave or anything but he is only 20. Players rarely stay at one club for most of their career these days. Those that do tend to be in the country of their birth.

If we dont win the CL in the next 4/5 years and he progresses as he has done i could see him wanting to go to Spain to try to win it there. Of course, it can be argued its just as likely he can win the CL with us and win the Ballon d'Or here

Perhaps something to do with the fact that historically they pay the highest wages in the game. There again, perhaps I'm just being cynical.
