This has been building up in Pep. He keeps seeing these teams coming to defend and not having the permission to express themselves. He loves football and seeing this type of negative football is really getting to him, especially as it has him having to wait for a goal in the last minute, it must really frustrated him.

Seeing Redmond gave him the perfect excuse to bring this issue up and while very excited, it all came out and as it was done in a positive way, nothing further can be said.

You never know, his points maybe taken onboard and he may change English football afterall.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

( Hopefully we can seal it well before then, but you never know.)

Yes, hopefully. Would be nice if Southampton needed a win to avoid relegation and we just played keep ball all game.

Serious question regarding Pep's rant: Could the ref (based on what he saw, not heard) have been justified in sending Pep off after the final whistle? If so, how long would the ban have been? Also, would Redmond have been so quick to leap to his defence in the event of any appeal, or would powers-that-be at Southampton (and clubs with an influence over them) have advised him to hold his tongue? Overall, considering that, is it wise of Pep to offer advice in such a way straight after the final whistle?

A spontaneous act of generosity on Pep's part. Sod the consequences.

It's a really odd thing to do and he should stop it. If an opposition manager gave me "advice" just after we've conceded a last second goal to lose the game, I would have a hard time containing myself and not give him a slap, no matter how complimentary he was.
