More than three flakes over here and the country shuts down though.

All these weather forecasters come up with such crap , as someone said above , not a flake in manc yet. Since it is a LOCAL derby , it would do a lot of fans good to actually walk to the ground .

If some rag fans set off now , they might get there by next weekend.

With some of the motorways shut and now with train disruption, we may see them start with 50,000 empty seats.

Nothing new there Beefy; if it's not leaves on the lines, it's something else.

I do thinky, however, that after 1987, when the forecasters got it badly wrong, they tend, in general, to overcook their reports and warnings to be on the 'safe' side, rather than getting caught out again.

Having said that, it does look as though they got the current predictions spot on.

Recently it's been more a case of "Engineering Work" and Rail Replacement Buses.

It's a piece of piss nowadays with satellites all over the place.

In 87, they relied on a couple of ships and a weather balloon.

It's really falling down here. I went into the cinema at ten to twelve and there wasn't a snowflake to be seen. I came out two hours later and there's a blanket of 10cm on the ground.

11:50 am. And yes, it did feel a bit weird, but it was very calm and quiet without popcorn munching, cellphone talking teenagers. Defo worth doing again.
