We often have a number of choices when the team plays very well as last night but on this occasion Merlin was just sublime. He was the conductor of the whole performance and I think every decision he made was spot on. His touch and quality was there for all to see but there was also the tenacity and of course two goals.

I can't even criticise him for the glaring miss but i think on slo mo you can see the ball bobble just enough for the misconnect.

Well that is fairly conclusive.

The last time I saw such a one sided table...it was the Premier league table this morning.

He flies- sideways through time

I wonder which independently minded person voted for Otamendi ??

All credit to them for doing so as the 'Big O' was pretty impressive last night......and has been for the greater part of this season.

Well either that or a raving lunatic. But obviously that leaves several candidates

Well done to you SB for going your own way.

It's always a good principle to "never follow a multitude into folly" but this instance was, probably, the exception to the rule.

Otamendi really did play well though and has done for the majority of this season, so it was a good call.

Do they play this at the Etihad before games or in the half-time interval? If not, then they should. Good call. (And one of the first singles I bought.)

If somebody came up with a relatively concise simple chant based on this, we'd have a unique tune for our Blue Shirted Spanish Genius.

These are something like the original words

I,
I just took a ride
in a silver machine
and I'm still feeling mean.

Do you wanna ride?
See yourself going by
the other side of the sky?
I've got a silver machine.

It flies,
sideways through time.
It's an electric line
to your Zodiac sign.

I've got silver machine.
I've got silver machine.
I've got silver machine.
I've got silver machine.

Silver machine.
Silver machine.
Silver machine.
Silver machine.

It flies,
out of a dream.
It's anti-septically clean.
You've gotta know what I mean.

So...

Changing "I" and "it" to "we" or "he" as appropriate would do for most of it.

We,
We just took a ride
in a silver machine
and he's still feeling mean.

Do you wanna ride?
See yourself going by
the other side of the sky?
We've got a silver machine.

He flies,
sideways through time.
He's an electric line
to your Zodiac sign
.

We've got silver machine.
We've got silver machine.
We've got silver machine.
We've got silver machine.

Silver machine.
Silver machine.
Silver machine.
Silver machine.

He flies,
out of a dream.
It's anti-septically clean
.
You've gotta know what we mean.

Talking to a mate last night who went to the Swansea game and I was saying how good Silva was. He said that Silva was great but he also said De Bruyne was out of this world and was man of the match with the rest of the away fans.
Ran his absolute bullocks off he said.
Funny how a game on tv is totally different from being there live and seeing movement etc off camera.
God it’s great struggling to pick MOTM’s every game because the whole team deserve it!!

Can‘t see why you are surprised about this, being at the game , you see all the movement and actually see just how fast some of these players are over 10 yards .
