Great news but we will need to look for a long term replacement for Fernandinho in the next year or two. He’ll be an extremely difficult player to adequately replace.

Great news.

I am now totally sold on Guardiola vision for us.

I had my doubts last season with the slow pass pass football.Obviously it was a personnel problem.players too old and past it to implement his system properly.

This season we have been sensational for most of it.Very entertaining.

The future really is bright.

If Guardiola signs for another 5 years i think Rags will collectively turn in to Lemmings and start jumping off Cliffs.

i wouldn't extend Fernandinho that much longer. he's not gonna be able to keep this up at his age for much longer

To be fair Fernandinho shows no signs of slowing down yet. Just a naturally very fit guy. And one helluva player.

He can't help it, the Manchester weather has done that to him. Ask Nolito.

The point is you're not supposed to perceive him as a white guy. Just a guy. :D

maybe we'll see fern playing more frequently at CB as he gets older. in any case he'll be useful for several more years imo.

I'v often thought about that SB, particularly with our injury worries and it's a logical step to move him into the back line as he gets older, as it could extend his career further as well.

All in all, he's such a vital player for us.
