Champions...The Quadruple

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Wouldn't begrudge anyone shouting from the rooftops about our start to the season. We have all had it rammed down our throats from both rags and dippers for 40+ years about how they are winners and the best. Now the roles have changed and we are the ones outplaying and out scoring everyone and let's be honest, it would take the mother of all fuck ups not to win the PL from here.

But for me, there is still the stigma of 'typical City' that still lurks in the background waiting to rear it's ugly head and shit all over us. Daft really, as the last few seasons we have been the most consistent side in the PL and this season we have been nothing short of incredible and are course to break numerous records. I will thus believe it if we are still eleven points clear with five or six games to go.

As for winning all four, never in the memory of man

No excuse for the atmosphere though, we don't need to be rag like cunts to get it bouncing.

This is how I feel the ground should be bouncing with the football we are playing , But let’s rub it in when we have indeed won something .
The one thing for sure though is that if everything went tits up We would still have the best supporters in all the land and all the world .

As a slight aside and I would like only say this among blues, but there is a sub section of blues, maybe those that have rarely gone that go now and then, claim to want to go more (like the rags) but pass up every time there's cheap spare tickets.

This is pretty much the case for me most games when my mate works and lets me know a few days before if I'm lucky

Good call RR.

Good manners in anything cost nothing. We should keep our powder dry, stay calm, stay gracious and neither a braggard, nor a pontificator be.

When we get our just desserts, we can all celebrate with good natured abandon, as there's a time and place for everything.

For years we have openly shown our disdain towards arrogant United, Arsenal or Liverpool fans. We do not need to become like them.

We've had a fantastic start to the season but haven't won anything yet. There's still a long way to go.

We're entitled to brag a little more if we win the league, but even then, let's not become like those we've disliked for many years.

As far as i see it , everybody and his dog are making comparisons to other teams , in the PL and even leagues.

Once the game is over i just want City to win the next game.

Comparisons with other successful teams from years gone by is pointless.

I agree with everything you say John and yes we all should be shouting about it especially after tearing those cockney wankers to bits but we are City fans we are not arrogant. For me personally I was born and bred in a small Welsh border town and have been surrounded by utd and Liverpool fans all of my life bragging and boasting what they are going to do etc blah blah and have always thought to myself the best way to shut those tossers up is to do exactly what City are doing now and hopefully for years to come. Shut the fuckers up for good but still dont bragg about it because that makes us just like them and we all know how much each and everyone of us hates them . Just keep smiling at them and treat them as the dickheads they are.

I don't think it's bragging as such it just feels nice to be able to stuff it down their necks after the years of shit we've taken.

There were 3 city fans in my primary school class and a handful more in high school, and we took some stick let me tell you. It's just a great time to be a city fan to be able to watch this amazing team while others get shitter.

I for one am enjoying being able to give it back.

That's as good a compromise as any, I suppose so, OK Chinners, I'm with you on this.

The Quadruple it is then.

time to sacrifice one of the cups.

the ridiculous amount of matches is destroying the players and now with the injuries and Silva's absence the squad is getting thin.
basically the same 11 cannot play so frequently.

I'd say no. We've got a semi-final where we could *theoretically* bury the fixture in the first leg, and a 3rd round game against a team who might also want to throw the game to concentrate on their shockingly good league campaign. We'll see what awaits us in the 4th round before throwing in the towel.

If only there was a window of opportunity to make some player transfers.
