ABBA order of penalties repeated, unless you mean the order Pep selected?

As per the Wolves match, it counts as a win.

Walker should never play when Madley is refereeing. Well either that or we take out a contract on him.

I really enjoyed the game last night. It was nice to finally see an open game with proper end to end stuff again, and it obviously was very interesting and fun to see so many of the kids getting a run out.

Zinchenko really impressed me yesterday and, although it might sound like a contradiction, I really feel we should find him a good loan club in January. He's 21 and should be playing every week - and in his preferred position too.

I thought Tosin was good as well. He's passing let him down a few times, but I don't think it's a lack of ability (he's way better at it than the Mangler), rather him not being used to the pace of the game at senior level. You simply don't have time to dally around or think too much about what you're going to do. Whether he should stay or go on loan is down to us bringing in a new CB in January or not.

Foden was fairly quiet yesterday, but did well over all. I think we all could see that he is still very much a boy, though. He needs to grow more before he can make an impact.

The same can be said for Diaz, but I think he looks slightly ahead of Phil in terms of physical development, and I really do believe that he would do well if he got game time in the league with our first-teamers around him.

Dele-Bashuri looked quite nervous (understandably), but did well. Nmecha, on the other hand, seemed to have nerves of steel. What a penalty! The lad looks really strong as well, and could probably do an OK job if called upon.

I thought Bernardo and Gundo did well in such a make-shift side. Both took the responsibility asked of them as senior players in a youth side. However, I was quite disappointed with Danilo. He doesn't look half the player Walker is. I hope it's a form issue. I thought he looked good at the start of the season, particularly against Liverpool where he played as one of three CB's in a 3-5-2.

The 16 match streak is for PL wins isn’t it? Yesterday’s match doesn’t affect that one way or the other. The winning streak in all competitions ended with the Shakhtar defeat.

There must be a record run for consecutive wins in domestic comps?

foden looked out of his depth last night.
a couple of nice touches but other than that it was all backwards / sideways easy passes. nothing wrong with that for a 17 year old but, let's be honest, he's miles away from being ready to play regularly for the first team.

Don't agree at all, he didn't make any real impact but he looked comfortable, certainly not out of his depth.

Does Nmecha's penalty affect his goals-per-minute ratio?

Does Bravo's penalty save count towards his shot saving percentage?

Before the penalty shootout, the Serbian commentator was giving a run-down of penalty-saving stats, and totally failed to mention the shootout v. Wolves, which I thought odd.

Agree with most of that. Overall very encouraging to beat a tough Leicester side (not particularly good, but tough nonetheless) with the second string and a bunch of kids. Throw any of the players from last night into a side with 9 first-teamers and they are guaranteed to look more comfortable.

I was also really impressed by Zinchenko. He looked comfortable passing and moving and apart from getting skinned by Mahrez once or twice (and you can't really blame a non-playing non-left back for that), pretty solid defensively.

Mangala same old. Some good clearances and can't fault his attitude, but seriously lacking in the build-up. 'He is what he is' summed it up perfectly.

Just a question for those following the kids, Nmecha is not a winger, right? To me, some of his dribbling attempts were very naive. He did well once on the edge of the box, but too many times he just tried to lay the ball past a player only for a second one to nick it easily.

I thought Foden looked slightly closer to ready than Diaz who looked a long way out of his depth. But neither looks quite there yet.

I would not have minded too much if we went out of this competition last night. The rags, chavs and the arse (assuming rags and chavs get to semis) will probably take this competition far more seriously from semi final stage onward than we will. With the league looking unlikely for the chavs and rags and practically impossible for the arse, the cookydoo cup will be a very good chance of them getting a trophy. Point is i would have rather loose to Leicester than loose a TWO game semi to one of the others. But we will see what happens tonight.

The team that played last night would be beaten in a two leg semi.
