Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Flipping 'eck, that went quickly and we're now back to the football. Eight games today with two on subsequent days, including ours. Can't see any real upsets for the new Sky 6 but you just never know, it only takes a couple of the players having a bit of excess on the sherry and Turkey twizzlers, they could become croppers!
I think the interesting games are elsewhere with mid to lower teams battling it out to stave off relegation, even at this early point. Not sure which way to go in the predictor, might see me going further back down the league.
Boxing Day:
Spurs v Saints 1230 hrs
Bournemouth v Hammers 1500 hrs
Chelsea v Brighton 1500 hrs
Huddersfield v Stoke 1500 hrs
Rags v Burnley 1500 hrs
Watford v Leicester 1500 hrs
Brom v Everton 1500 hrs
Dippers v Swansea 1730 hrs
27 Dec 17:
Newcastle v City 1945 hrs
28 Dec 17:
Palace v Arsenal 2000 hrs
I wonder what the lead will be after these games?

Feeling a bit nervous myself. If we approach the game right we should have enough to beat them comfortably.

Edited for accuracy mate. I can't even put it down to spell check, just monging it the day after the day before

I'm sure the team will be motivated enough for this one and I have nothing but good feelings about it. There could always be an upset over this period, I just don't see it against Newcastle.
Shit though, that we get both games away from home for the after Christmas/pre-New Year games, and the distance is a bit shit also. I'm probably a little more worried about Palace tbh, with all the travelling. I'm sure Pep won't take anything for granted though, and neither will the team.
But who will I be supporting today

if the top 4 lose points today then I could see us going for Newcastle from the off and get further away from them, then need palace to take points off the arse

In leu of some other comments on other threads Mase, that might just be open to misinterpretation

There is no VD in the Southampton line up today or even the bench. Could it be true.

Give your head a wobble Liam ffs!
How can anyone have anything other than a great feeling going into games this season? Sure, we're gonna drop points at some stage, but having a bad feeling the way we're playing beforehand? Nah...
3 more points tomorrow!

Virgil's never been the same since the business with Enid

Appalling reffing favouring Spurs just now, clear dive for a free kick which bounced in off the Carthorse. Full back got booked for protesting with Tyler & Smiffy in full agreement...smelly stuff

I've got a bad feeling about tomorrow's game. Oh, no, it was just a newspaper amongst the cushions.

So the Harry Kane show continues with a brace and it's not half time yet.....
They truly will be screwed when he gets injured
