Disappointed Sterling has been dropped. I know there’s a lot of games over Christmas but if a kid can’t play a few times in a week we have problems.

Expect Sterling to come on and save us toward the end of the match.

Palace at full strength. Stones on the bench but Kompany and Delph not ready

Sterling hasn’t been dropped, he’s been rotated. City are playing in two days and Pep has to manage his resources. Gundogan and Bernardo Silva are very good players but Merlin will be missed. I’m disappointed Delph’s not even in the squad: he trained fully on Thursday. A big day for Sane. I expect him to get some joy down the left with Townsend not the best defensively.

Sterling and Aguero to be brought on if we need a goal. Not too shabby.

Sterling hasn't been dropped he is getting a break. It's called rotation and without it we would be a right state come mid jan.
Big game for sterling coming up at dippers as well to think about.

Any win will do nicely.

Same thing mate. You can call it what you want but he’s “dropped” to the bench.

Razza ran one hell of a lot the other night. And will on Tuesday. Can't see any point in giving Kompany another 5 minutes though.

Given the injuries and Sane being rested midweek thats about what you had to expect.

Hope Stones can get some minutes

The warm up seemed a bit lax to me. Hope that's not a sign!

Need an early goal today. Not too early though to make them think it's going to be easy

Seeing that stadium on TV reminds me of many fruitless visits in the 90s. Palace and Wimbledon

Welcome TomS! Good to see you posting....

How are you getting on with your tour of English Stadia, I assume Selhurst was checked off early on in your quest?

I just feel this is where our good fortunes will now finally run out and we could experience our first defeat.

Heartbreakingly, I think we'll go down 1-0 and I'm hoping against hope that I've completely lost my mind and I'm totally wrong. If we do lose, the anti-City media brigade will be coming back out of the woodwork from where they've been lurking and will be unbearable again. That will be just too much to take.

Come on City, make me look like an idiot.
