In electing to start the season with just two strikers, I'm really hoping Pep and the Club had a plan of action for this January window which catered for the situation we now find ourselves in; one that didn't necessarily rely upon the vagaries of Arsenic the Whinger for us to get Sanchez.

Similarly, I'm desperately hoping that there's a contingency strategy for our current injury problems in midfield and defence, together with the need for additional recruits in a number of areas of the squad.

It would be a travesty and a tragedy if our season were to now fall apart, just because opposition teams have been allowed a free hand to kick us off the park, at every opportunity.

Yes, Fern also has 5 bookings but neither he nor Sane is suspended. It was reset after 19 games. It's usually the end of Dec but 2 extra league games have been played this Dec because of the World Cup

really? ive heard multiple commentators mention it as being Dec 31 this season. maybe they were still living in the past.
i didnt see anything on the Palace broadcast of people mentioning Sane being suspended so thats good. hope you're right.

Spanish journalist tweets Silva trained today and is available for tomorrow’s match. Huge if true.

Well spotted B2W That's great news and he has been spot on with everything since he started tweeting a few weeks ago.

The cut off this year is after 19 matches because extra games were played before 31/12 because of World Cup. Neither Fernandinho nor Sane is suspended for tomorrow’s match. Whether they play or not is another matter.

As B2W says they are not suspended for the reasons given. Lots of different reports on this but they are defo available. Cheesey has even confirmed this and he knows everything.

Any kind of win will do, but a large margin would really put the last performance to bed.

It's really hard to see a large margin.
Sergio is hardly ripping defences to shreds is he? Jesus out, kev out, sane gundo b silva, and fern all poor in front of goal recently.

Hopefully Sterling can continue in his rich vein of form and net a brace, that would do it.

I would take a scrappy 3 points.

With Silva coming back:

Walker Stones Otamendi Delph/Danilo
Fernandinho
Sterling Silva Bernardo Sane
Aguero

But I expect Pep likes Gundogan more than Bernardo in the middle

I thought kdb injury not too bad, but ruled out today.

Silva being back is very important then.
