They don’t need FFP to stop us now, they have a ready made replacement in VAR. I truly believe it will be used to fuck us over

We are now being investigated for breaches to FFP, which were highlighted in the media.

City's response

Manchester City welcomes the opening of a formal UEFA investigation as an opportunity to bring to an end the speculation resulting from the illegal hacking and out of context publication of City emails. The accusation of financial irregularities are entirely false. The Club’s published accounts are full and complete and a matter of legal and regulatory record.

This could be a good thing if it gets settled once and for alll, then it will go away, hopefully for ever.

Just to be clear, I dont like UEFA and what they represent, however, I believe they are under pressure from media and the haters to investigate us, I dont think they had much of a choice. They cant simply ignore those pleas otherwise there will be an outcry. This won't go away until we clear our name once for all. I hope we take the national media to the cleaners once we're cleared.

Hope you’re right Johnny, but I’ve nearly gone beyond caring.

Playing football through legal teams is not a sport. They can’t win on the field so try to beat us through underhanded business cartel regulation.

I find myself thinking more and more, do you really want to be part of their club.

We may beat FFP. But we won’t beat VAR or whatever underhand tactic UEFA throw our way.

UEFA and the goons that run/administer it don’t like us. That is as plain as the nose on your face. If we beat the rap of this new FFP, which is by no means certain by the way, as we thought we’d beat it the first time only for the goalposts to be moved, UEFA are hardly likely to take it on the chin and say, “well done chaps, jolly good show, welcome to the club”. They will use another tactic. Shit referees. Poor VAR decisions. More trumped up charges. We are not part of their gang and never will be.

And I am glad about that as it goes. If we win the CL by hook or by crook I’ll be well pleased, of course I will. If nothing else it shuts rags and dippers up and it’s one less thing the media will hit us with. But if we never win it, then as long as we have domestic success, I am perfectly happy with that

I hope we are clean on this. The Der Spiegel allegations don't sound good. It would break my heart if we were guilty, but so be it if we were.

I love my club. But, I also want my club to act ethically.

What has ethics got to do with FFP?

The allegations are that we have lied and not acted ethically in our financial dealings to comply with FFP.
