It's a record January transfer window. All thanks to City, donchyano.

Will UEFA be able to find any ruling that stops him playing in the PL this season ??

how did he do on his debut? play him over Stones for the time being (when both are fit)?

Very well. Passing and composure were simply outstanding.

His positioning and marking were also very good and he showed physicality that’s well suited for the PL.

First signs were very positive. I’m impressed.

I’m glad that when Rondon lashed out at him he didn’t go down rolling around like some foreign fucks that come to the Prem.

Very well, much like Mangalas debut against Chelsea. Solid.

Different type of performance though, that day Mangala bullied Chelsea physically whereas Laporte not only coped with the physical side with aplomb but he showed real quality in his passing, some of them long crossfield passes were top drawer.

Impressive start.

As i wrote in the match thread, getting back into this side won't be a walk in the park for Stones. He's got his work cut out for him (which is a good thing).

Yep, i was joking. Eric wasnt tested much but you can see that hes got it, excellent passing and position. And as sad didnt fall like a B when Rondon slapped him.
Would be surprised if he didnt turn out good for us! Nico was good aswell, not sure whos gonna be our best CB pairing.

Yes but some of those knocks Otamendi gets he shouldn't be playing match after match with no recovery. Laporte got a few last night!

Plenty of room for 3 good CBs (plus an injured one) just as there is for at least 2 strikers.

Thanks fuck Mangala has gone, if only on loan.

of course, I'm not questioning having three good CB's (plus Kompany). I'm just saying that I though the new lad looked very good together with Otter and that Stone will have to really step it up if he wants to be the first choice CB.

And that’s the way it should be Noolie.
He’ll definitely add to the squad.
No one can afford to drop in standard.

Imagine this weekend if we played Vinnie and Stones? Ha! What depth.

I was surprised by his stature, looked a unit. Can play a bit too, composed and confident on the ball. Cheers Pep

It was so easy for him last night.
He probably thinks this EPL is a doddle.

Hope he defends as well when we come under pressure.

Not bad for only being at the club for 24 hours:

We've got quite the player on our hands here. I feel safe for years to come with him and Ederson playing together.

My lad said to me that Laporte must think us English fans are very polite when Gareth Barry was being subbed on and got a standing ovation
